This makes me picture a bunch of apocalypse survivors exploring an old mall, hearing this song, and laughing in a tragic nostalgic way about those concepts that died with the rest of humanity like ordinary week routine and young foolish love.

Steven O'Brien I'm not so sure that it does. These videos are cool and I like that the creator even thought of this concept. However, this videos are pretty low effort when you think about it, and they're more novelty than anything, especially when there's like 10 videos dropping everyday lol. You kind of get the idea after the first video or two.

I imagine in an apocalyptic future this song comes on and some kids are like “What’s ‘Monday’?” Strangely makes you appreciate the things you have but at the same time makes you feel terrible for having it while another is suffering

The mall that’s closest to my home, which is also the one I used to go very often as a child with my parents or any willing cousin who wouldn’t be bothered to look after me, is slowly but surely closing down as stores are beginning to shut down one by one. And this song is bringing me some major sadness thinking that the little place where I used to get my skittles for a quarter, where I once got lost because I was a disobedient crotch goblin, where I bought a stuffed pink bunny that I still have till this day, where I would ask my mom to buy me some chicken tarayaki or some ice cream, where I bought my prom dress that accidentally ended up catching on fire and many other things, will close down some time very soon. That mall is responsible for some of my special memories and it somehow brings me a little pain, along with this song, that it will be gone one of these days.

the year is 2489, you and the last survivors' camp has been destroyed due to the toxins in the air. you're going to look for more shelter. as you entered the desolate car park you saw it was the old mall you and your dad used to go to. one of the survivors got the power back on, unfortunately none of the lights worked but the speakers seemed fine. after a few moments of static Friday I'm In Love started playing across the crackly, dusty speakers. tears of happiness, sadness, anger and fear started rolling down your cheeks you remembered coming here every Saturday.
