One of their best songs…. “"I think it's dark and it looks like rain, " you said "And the wind is blowing Like it's the end of the world, " you said "And it's so cold, it's like the cold if you were dead" Then you smiled for a second "I think I'm old and I'm feeling pain, " you said "And it's all running out Like it's the end of the world, " you said "And it's so cold, it's like the cold if you were dead" Then you smiled for a second Sometimes you make me feel Like I'm living at the edge of the world Like I'm living at the edge of the world "It's just the way I smile, " you said”

I´ve seen a couple of videos with tears on his face the last year. And what I find so beautiful is that he doesn´t hide his emotions. He also never makes it into a big deal. They are just there and it seems like he is ok with that. I mean of course it is hard to be sad (or whatever emotion the tears comes from) but still he seems to accept them. That is not easy. At all. Espacially not in front of so many people. But he makes it feel alright to be sad. And to cry. And to show emotions. It´s just human. And I love him for it.

Been a Cure fan since the 80s. My husband and I married in 1996, after we met in high school in 1984. We chose to spend our honeymoon money on front row tickets to see the Cure in Chicago. It wasn’t our first time, but we never sat in the front before, and we were given drum sticks after the show when they heard our story. It is one of the greatest concert memories we have, right along with being handed the mic to sing Everything Counts with Depeche Mode’s David Gahan at the Milwaukee Summer Fest in the 1990s.

@k8shrew69 my wife & I have a similar backstory. We were at a party at a mutual friend's house and she was the only other person besides me dressed in black. I didn't use "a line" on her, we just started talking music - they were playing metal and we wanted Bauhaus or The Cure or anything else - and it was as natural as our whole relationship has been ever since. That was January 1992 and we're still together. ❤️

I didn’t tell my parents I was going into the city, I went with a kid from school that had a car. I payed for everything, he drove. I spent a total of $150. We got shirts, food and gas both ways. I’m 47 now, 2 adult children. They love all the music I grew up on, and some newer stuff. But will never be able to enjoy a show like this at todays cost. So sad how the young people are priced out of experiencing life like we did.

I'd love to give him a big hug. Tell him even though I've heard all his songs 1,000 times before, some days they can make me cry too. That's the beauty of a true artist such as himself.

I never took any notice of the Cure. I haven't ever even tried to explore their music, heard some on tv or radio but I wasn't moved to explore it further. I still don't get it but obviously he's liked and admired and has held his audience for many years so I respect him for that.

Grief comes and goes in tides. Perhaps it was an emotional day overall, maybe the day/date has significance. I don't know when exactly he lost his brother and parents but that with the overwhelming nature of a tour, sometimes things hit like a freight train at unexpected times. He seems really open and receptive more than ever on this tour and cannot help but hope he's okay. If I'm not mistaken this is the first tour out of the pandemic too..emotions are at an all time high and even he can't escape the catharsis of his own music. We can only send him love--hate to see him hurting--choked me up too. Thanks for sharing.

I lost someone a few years ago and ever since I will cry so easily, but I never did before. It changes something in you when you realize how quickly someone can just disappear and how precious time is. I can barely listen to this song anymore without crying, its just such a beautiful song. Imo along with pictures of you, I'd say they're the most moving songs I have ever heard.
