I'm not sure running towards something that scares you is necessarily better than running away. Either way you are still running... I agree with brave experimentation. I find that it has only taken me a couple of brave interactions to learn about my own preferences. I have found getting out of my head and into my body has helped me a lot. Understanding how I am actually feeling rather than a rationalization of how I am feeling. Sometimes in social situations it feels like I am speaking more from the chest when I go into my body more. Previously I would numb myself and run into my head which would just make the anxiety worse.
