Curious mystery. How did she access the roof? How did she get the water tank open? Why were her clothes in the tank but she wasn't wearing them? This does scream murder! And who made the reservation at such a seedy questionable hotel? Great presentation! Thanx

you can find videos on here of people still going on the roof. This place is a cheap dump. The water tank was open, that was a mistake made in early reports. In court testimony it says it was open and it didn't weigh much either, I don't know how the heavy lid idea started . There was also a fire escape but I just think the door alarm didn't work. Also in addition to being thrown out of the conan show she was also kicked out of the basement of the cecil. Maybe she thought she could get out if her clothes weren't weighing her down. She lived in Canada, probably didn't realize how bad it was.

In august 2014 I spent the night at the cecil hotel/stay on main hotel, along with my girlfriend. We both neither sensed anything strange or unusual. Though i knew the good and bad history of the hotel.

The lid of the water tank was open. That is in court testimony. One policeman said the wrong thing at the beginning of the case. It also wasn't very heavy. Even after this tragedy you can find current videos of people walking right up on the roof with no alarm

Not quite sure why she would remove her clothing and jump in a tank of water unless helped probably something that no one will ever know the truth about what a shame that this young woman had to die such a horrifying death can't imagine what she must have been going through in the last hours of her life

Good evening, to you and your family. This was such a tragic case. My best friend since I was 16 (I'm not going to say how long that's been but its been a while) suffers from severe bi-polar disorder. She takes medication and has to be monitored very closely with regular blood tests etc. If she stops taking her meds, within a very short time, she is affected. She will either become extremely manic - she decorated her kitchen in a couple of hours once, or extremely depressed. She has tried to take her life several times and has been sectioned previously. It is an awful medical condition to have. Of the two possibilities, it could be a case of Elisa not taking her correct dose and ending up harming herself which is preferable to the other option. It's just so very sad, and I feel for her family and friends. Have a lovely evening, sorry about the novella, but this case really hit home to me and my friend.

I've always wanted to spend a week in the Stanley Hotel but I wouldn't spend an hour in the Cecil Hotel, too many paranormal incidents from that demonic dump. Great job once again!

Things have been chaotic but like fine chocolate, your videos are there for when I have completed my tasks and can return to them. I'm glad to see that you've got a few more up and I'm eating them like candy! Been dealing with moving so the smiles that come from your bloopers boost my spirits! Did you dye your hair or is that the camera filter that you're using? As for Elisa, I fear nefarious intervention, but can't think of what could have happened unless it happened on the stairs where no cameras were. The Triangle video was creepy almost! You did an awesome job on both. I am looking forward to those scripts that are being worked on that were mentioned. :)

A very interesting case and well presented by this young lady of Curious History. I have my doubts of a suicide, I suspect murder and rape in this case. I cannot say more about what may have happened to this young lady because it would be sustancial evidence that also may involve the innocent. Murder is nothing to be played with, very serious business, enough games have been played already with the truth, and people's lives. My condolences to the Lam family and I also pray that justice to be served, in the correct manner... REST IN PEACE-ELISA LAM and God bless you. KUTOS, a job well done. G t E. A very thought provoking case for certain. May Elisa Lam rest in peace. I am of the mind she was murdered. She wasn’t taking her medication properly, and was having issues due to this, and this vulnerability I believe left her prey to someone very sinister, especially when there was the shoe of a man slightly seen at the elevator when Elisa was behaving strangely. But I can’t see how they got her into the water tank, unless they forced her to climb the ladder, struggle to open the tank, and then threw her in. Either way, the hotel has some lousy surveillance of their hallways, entry and exit doors. One would think they’d have the roof door secured with video and an alarm, if not locked tightly. If they did, then this would mean it could have been an employee involved, or someone who had access to videos, alarms, and keys. This makes me feel very sad for Elisa, as those with mental and/or other health issues are so often vulnerable to predators, and such cases are brushed away far too quickly. This place is a dump next to skid row. Also, that wasn't a shoe...look again. When men turn their foot mostly their foot stays on the ground or may lift a little. When women turn their feet they lift up their heel. When elisa makes that sharp turn the bottom of her sandal stays on the ground while her heel lifts up to turn, because of the angle you only see the bottom of her shoe. If you look at the video she does this once of twice at other times. If you didn't realize what it was it could look like the front of a mans shoe but that person would have to practically to be standing in the same spot as her or further back with his foot way out. It just doesn't work
