The “Craigslist Killer” also known as Philip Markoff, was 23 when he was preparing for a promising future as a doctor and a life of happiness with his fiancé, Megan McAllister. He seemed destined for greatness as one of Boston University’s brightest med students, but Markoff had a dirty little secret. He would set up appointments with women offering erotic services on Craigslist to rob them, and one encounter ended in murder. His unsuspecting fiancé stood by his side until the evidence was too overwhelming. Markoff took his own life in jail by cutting critical arteries that he studied in anatomy class.

im just glad he was captured before becoming a doctor, he would be more dangerous when he actually has a license, people would be more trusting of him, wouldn't really question him, would have more confidence (over his already confident self), and would prob get away with more victims or his patients being his victims

Absolutely correct! I went to top University in America and lived in family housing so met a lot of PhD parents on the playground who looked down on anyone not in their caliber. I found that I may be smart but there's always smarter people, it's kindness and compassion that makes a person amazing! Smart is a dime a dozen.

This is very chilling because I had an ex who turned out he was keeping in touch with women he knew from apps (some of them messaged me). It’s good that I blocked him and his weird mom, because the way they reacted after I called him out was incredibly bizarre. I also remembered he had a weird obsession with rifles and guns. He killed one woman in a "robbery gone wrong" type of situation. Obviously, that's a crime and a generally immoral thing to do. However, it's definitely not unique, especially in big cities like Boston. Based on all the hype, I always assumed the "Craigslist Killer" was a serial killer with multiple murder victims who he found on Craigslist. Hearing that he only killed one person and it was due to a robbery gone wrong is surprising and leaves me wondering what all the hype was about. Since when does the press give so much attention to people who commit one murder in a botched robbery???

if u read US history, Euro-American and Afro-american, you'll understand why they both behave the way they do, but this kind of thoughts are the typical stereotype that keeps white racist/supremacists still running high today, when a white murder commits crimes, everyone uses phrases like, "he was like any college kid" "he looked like the regular ALL AMERICAN" young man. Not even they realize that greater % of Euro-Americans are no different damn captive trained animals, YOU NEVER KNOW then their killing instinct will awake. People forget they are blood thirsty cold murderers, and just like captive animals they will attack when they snap, and when they do snap, it does not matter if its the pregnant wife, the 8yrs old kids, their sibling or parents, they will just kill. This behavior is hereditary, their for-fathers passed it on their generation, they were savages when they enslaved blacks, savages when they took the lands of Americans, plus the fact that most of them are a product on interbreeding, i mean they ONLY RECENTLY (1980s) just started accepting equality. If u are married to these people you should learn to sleep with one eye open.

They tend to have the opposite (transactional or sugar baby relationships.) These were working women. He was the opposite: a parasite, leeching off his woman. Also he committed suicide, a notoriously Borderline move (Aaron Hernandez also Borderline, also killed himself in prison). Borderline manifests totally different in men than in women. It’s power based and they almost perceive themselves to be a superhero (in their these killings were “taking people out” that somehow in their perverse view “needed it” or “deserved it”). Male Borderlines are basically a psychopathic version of Borderline. It’s grandiose, overt, different themes. Pseudo humility. Somehow “seek justice” for some dumb underlying reason via criminal means. It’s like they think they’re Batman or something.

He had no generational wealth from his parents. He was getting married. He needed to be a good provider. He needed money. Perhaps he was afraid of robbing banks or people of reputable backgrounds, so he went after the social deviants.

I doubt it was to support himself and her as much as I think he was supplementing a gambling addicting. It’s kinda telling how his go to right after getting the influx of money was going to the casino. His father being a dentist I have a hard time seeing that if he needed genuine help to survive and get through school that his dad wouldn’t help a bit to the extent he had to rob people. But to supplement a gambling addicting which his father wouldn’t provide support for makes more sense to me.

I think Philip was two very different people. Once his other persona began to manifest it took over his life. It is a crying shame but l think it was in jail that he realized that his better half had lost EVERYTHING to the monster within. His fiancée's honesty made him realize that there was no way to repair the harm. He felt someone had to end the cycle...so he ended it.

I used it as well in the UK. I was lucky too, but now I now how dangerous men can be, I never used it ever again. I have a long term partner now and I got to know him over months first, rather than rush in. He is also checked on Find my Friends app, so I know where he is. Find my Friend's app is amazing, we know where our partners are and get suspicious or worried if it the location is off. In the UK we also have Hollie Guard app so our emergency contacts know where we are and we an reported incidents. Personal safety apps are great

Yea she was working seeing clients and they did it where if she didn’t pick up his first call then he came to check on it. And it worked. Saved her life…if you’re asking why he ran, it was best because he saved his own life and then he knew the shooter wouldn’t kill her bc he already knew what he looked like. Win-Win….remember he only shot the other girl bc she fought. So he naturally did the right just by instinct…
