I always had the idea that the next Elder Scrolls plot setting will have the inevitable second great war end with a Thalmor victory and rule but, then a sudden massive invasion of Akavir forces destroys them. The dilemma of the plot would be if the Akavir can be considered liberators or foreign conquers.

I don't know but something that strikes me about Akavir being home to a populace much more terrifying than anything on Tamriel is this tidbit. On Tamriel back in the days of dragons the people were subjugated and used to whatever the whims of the Dragons wanted. In Akavir they hunted all their dragons in to extinction and *ate* them.

Early documented encounters between the Akaviri and the earliest inhabitants of Tamriel suggest that there may be Akaviri people with rat-like features, and others who are canine in appearance. This suggests Akaviri cultures that have yet to be discovered. As Far as The Races of Akavir,Think about it. Akavir means "Dragon Land',and is inhabited by Snakefolk,Monkeyfolk,and Tigerfolk,canonically confirmed. Now I want you to think about the Chinese zodiac and realize that there is most likely a race that corresponds to each of the remaining signs.

The Tsaesci aren't literally snakes. There's a book in Skyrim that confirms they are men. They are called snake men due to the duplicitous actions they performed on Tamriel.

No, they are literally snake people said to be able to shape shift but their original form is snake like

I believe Akavir is just a harsh place where everything gets magnified and strengthened. The Tsaeci are just a magnified form of Argonians, the Ka Po Tun are just magnified form of the Khajhiit, led by a Dragonborn who has "become" a dragon. The Kamal could just be magnified form of frost troll, who became more human and self aware instead of just stronger. Even the humans from Akavir were next level, a warrior race of the Blades who sought out to follow a leader who could "become" a dragon like their Ka Po Tun neighbors, only found him in an invasion party instead of amongst their own ranks. Akavir is just Tamriel to the 2nd power, with similar races and empires, only the continent is less forgiving so only the strongest survive. Over a few millennia, the populations would become significantly more reflective of that.

Between the Akaviri swords and armor set that the Blades used to wear, as well as the player gets in Skyrim, *not* sure if the armor is available in other games, wonder *if* there were/are any humans over at Akavir, or *if* the Tsaeci were actually humans.
@Matt-the-Wise10 ай бұрын
@@whitewolf3051 Yes, there were. The blades only became the protectors of the Emporer when they met him during an invasion from Akavir. They were the last humans in Akavir and invaded Tamriel, but upon meeting a Dragonborn Emporer they laid down their swords and swore fealty to him. Before that, the blades lived on Akavir. The Tsaeci are NOT humans, they're called serpent people bc they are scaled with tails. That's why I believe they are the Akaviri equivalent of Argonians. There was a potentate who became ruler of the empire for almost 400 years, and there are clear stories describing him as scaled and reptilian like an Argonian, only with two larger fangs resembling a serpent. The Ka Po Tun are described as large cat people, so like a jacked version of the khajhiit. Think tigers to cheetahs, that's Ka Po Tun to khajhiit. There's a lot of books and literature scattered across the elder scrolls describing all of this. Try reading "Mysterious Akavir" or "Disaster At Ionith" to learn more.

@@Matt-the-Wise Some sites or channels seem to think there were no humans in Akavir, and that early Blades were the Tsaeci until human members were recruited. Can't remember who claimed so, but that's what they stated.
@Matt-the-Wise10 ай бұрын
@@whitewolf3051 There's no literature or canon that states the blades were Tsaeci, bc the Tsaeci are a reptilian race of people. The last humans fled Akavir bc they were being EATEN by the Tsaeci, so maybe that was it. But in Oblivion you actually can return to the battleground where the blades were gonna meet the empire in battle until they saw the Emporer, and recognized he was a Dragonborn.

I’d like to think that the Tsaecii are both vampire snakes and humans. If they have a Japanese like style of life, then they may have a caste system where the vampire snakes are at the top and the humans are at the bottom (higher than the goblins). Possibly the higher ruling class can alter their forms like the Cold Harbor Vampires.

If some of eso lore is cannon , then we know for a fact that tsaeci are bipedal and tall . Can they shape shift? Well given that the one that you fight in eso, is a dragon knight and those abilities are passed down from akivir; it's possible. Eso may just be so far divergent from elder scrolls; who knows.

great video, but i feel like you were saying a lot of the same stuff over again, maybe in a slightly different way. i do realize it might be hard to make a decent length video with the limited info tho. i would like to see bethesda make a game on a different continent than tamriel, i think it would be fun to introduce these different races, or maybe some we havent heard of even on a different continent than akavir. it wouldnt have to be another elder scrolls per say but i think it would have its place if they started a different series somewhere fresh since we know a lot about tamriels history already

I’m not a fan of Akavir. The Elder Scrolls has always felt like a middle earth theme with heavy emphasis on Man vs Mer, with a few beast races sprinkled in. But Akavir’s races kind of destroy that theme for me. I doubt that tiger people or snake people would look good within a game
@derrickjohnson495210 ай бұрын
Cyridiil was supposed to be a jungle but oh well so I think an entire continent should feel different. People loved morrowind for it being so strange. Plus a game/ book universe can have different themes without destroying another.

I disagree, a world that is only western themed doesn’t sit right with me. TES having an Asian continent makes the lore/world that much more richer and complete.
