X's shield is purple to differentiate it from every other shield. It's okay to hit and break other shields (except maybe Crustle's Unite shield). Hitting the purple shield heals Mewtwo, and breaking it reduces his cooldowns and fills his Mega Gauge.

The thing with Mewtwo is that its damage isn't even the biggest problem, it's the fact that its kit is so simple to use despite being so overloaded. Even if they nerf X's damage, it will still be strong just because of future sight being a literal point-and-click pull.

Yeah, as someone who plays defenders and requires a skill shot to land a damageless Telekinesis on a low damage pokemon in Slowbro, I think giving an easy-to-use hook to Mewtwo is just insane.

Mewtwo nerfs are probably still needed by a little bit, but what I really want to see is for them to FINALLY fix the hideous matchmaking. It's currently so bad that I flat out CANNOT count on my team at all & may be forced to become a Mewtwo X main because of it. I had multiple recent matches & the only one I won was when I used X. In my other matches, I did well but like I said before, NONE of my teammates could be counted on. I DESPISE that MY rank is dependent on the performance of other players. A little extra info: I was a Defender multiple times because no one else on my team would be one, I go into fights trying to help teammates that I saw were in trouble & they would abandon me at every chance & once, I ended up in a lane alone for a extended period of time at the start of the game.

Man i completely agree. I wanted to try inteleon and ended up losing despite doing quite well with it (like 10+ kills every round, good positioning and everything) because my team was never at the right place. Sometimes i need to abandon lanes and objectives because my team is all grouped somewhere else and it's always hard to face 3 people by yourself. Last season i carried with Charizard which is my most used Pokémon because trying newer Pokémon while playing for the win was almost impossible

I think Mewtwo X shield is purple because is the only shield in the game that have especial properties, it isn't just to soak damage like the rest it also heals 20%-30% of the damage taken by the shield.

Out of Mewtwo meta and into Mewtwo meta... at least it's a smaller gap between it and the other broken mons. Feels to me less like god tier threats and more like very solid and somewhat overtuned, but still very possible to win against. Helps that Inteleon and Zacian are some of the more difficult to play characters

the other mewtwo was the best example of that kind of player that just play the things that hear that are broken and dont even confirm by themselves, he may heard mewtwo y got nerfed and same future sight and recover were nerfed and everybody saying most op pokemon rightnow is x so he is playing x with psystrike and teleport , teleport was always for y (some games cause the picks was better the re cover) and recover is always for mewtwo x cause he is melee type and have to be on the front, and future sight is the only way , the psystrike is always kinda junk (i guess just in a few games with some combinations using psystrike could be worth it but ...)

I 1v2ed a Mewtwo X and Mimikyu as Scizor the other day. This meta is SOOOOO much more manageable then Mewtwo Y was! Although between Mewtwo X's arguably more oppressive Future sight, Inteleon's almost everything, and a handful of other things, the meta is still far from perfect.

Playing Mewtwo X rn imo is no better than playing Mewtwo y when it had no nerfs. Future sight range needs nerfed (teleport then future sight to get any ranged mon is the bane of my existence). Also all crits should be removed just like Mewtwo y and tankiness of both needs nerfed too

Nah, Mewtwo X is fine rn, Psyshock (i think that's the name) feels dumb, it gives you a Full Heal, stuns for free, and it's a point and click, but the problem it's that with that move Mewtwo can't use basic attacks, future sight feels dumb too but less, it's good to kill squishy mons but any mon that has a dash can easily escape from Mewtwo Mega-Mewtwo X is dumb but at least it's harder than Mewtwo Y to get it's mega Also sorry for the long text but i just wanted to give my opinion lol

Hey guys, I just started the game 2 weeks ago and I have a question. How quick or late are the devs about these nerfs and buffs? I mean if I buy a strong pokemon what are the chances that it gets nerfed in a month or so? How often they release buffs and nerfs? Because saving gold is really difficult in this game, I dont wanna buy sth like Zacian for 15k fortune and sit with a mon that is neefed to the ground after 3-4 weeks.

Minor nerfs/buffs usually are given when a new mon comes, and plenty of buffs/nerfs on new season. Panic nerfs used to happen when a mon is too broken but now it seems they don't do that now.
