Fun fact: The phrase, "The customer is always right," has more to it in the original. The full phrase is, "The customer is always right in terms of taste." This just means that the customer is allowed to buy or eat whatever they want that's priced and that you can't judge them for it. Customers have shortened the phrase in order to justify their shitty attitude towards retail workers. In short, a customer is allowed to buy whatever they want and can't be judged for it, but they're not allowed to treat the employees like shit. Don't be assholes to employees. They already deal with enough problems on a daily basis. If they get your order wrong, be polite about it. Being polite and kind can go a long way.
