Tadano is actually unique as well, since he's the only average person in the whole school. In fact he's so average it's ridiculous, which the author points out constantly, in grades, physical characteristics like weight, just about everything you can measure! I think you're going to enjoy the humor in this show, it really does go off the chart at times.

All of the names in this show are Japanese puns. “Tada no Hito” means just another guy/a random guy. (I’m not Japanese lol it’s just something I heard so translation might be crude) And then there would be an “Osana Najimi” which just the breakage of Osananajimi which literally translates to a childhood friend. Interesting way to name characters on their personality lol.

And you can hear in the narrator's intro about her disorder that "Komi Shouko" is "Komyushou", communication disorder. Later characters: Shinobino: shinobi = ninja. Yadano Makeru: Yada = don’t want, Makeru = lose. Inaka Nokoko = girl from the countryside. And many many others

@@Salty_Tiger Komi's name could even be komyushouko, "communication disorder girl". The pun names are great, and since Japanese has so few syllables it's easy to make puns because they have to reuse them. Make sure when you go to a restaurant that you ask for chopsticks, not a bridge! 😝

Ehh, I wouldn't call it a "hidden" gem. It absolutely blew up a few years ago, and the fact that this show is *still* finding new reactors today speaks on how much talk circulates about it, even amidst many newer homeruns in the shonen romcom scene. Maybe the train has lost *some* steam, but the Komi Express hasn't stop going. And with how much has developed in the manga, the anime thus far has only scratched the tip of the iceberg.

This is going to be good! So excited. I love the art style flips in this. I'm not sure if I'm right, but it's like the silly cartoonish one is used from Komi's perspective and the detailed and "fierce" look when from others' perspective. I think it's great visual storytelling for the disconnect in her self perception vs the perception of others. It reminds me of the way Saitama is drawn situationally. lol

honestly i don't even relate to the topic that much, but it doesn't even matter, i love cute rom-com anime that put a smile on my face so Komi was right up my alley anyway, also her chibi art is so damn adorable, especially when she grows kitty ears out of nowhere :)

I think the difficulty with the school being full of weirdos is that it's hard to practice having a normal conversation when the person you are talking to suddenly starts to juggle or something lol

This series is really good and it shows how Komi is able to get her 100 friends and Tadano there to support her. This is a VERY VERY long series. Right now there are 484 manga chapters and counting. Some of these are double issue chapters and some a very short. Still, the series will focus in a LOT of characters, but in the end Komi and Tadano are the main ones.

Faroh when we watch you react im sure you know it's emotions such as the ones you experienced watching this episode that make your viewers connect with you even more because these are emotions that most of us can identify with thus making your reaction im not ashamed to admit make my eyes water I'm sure many of your viewers feel the same as me But please know when you are struggling to clear your vision wiping away your tears when watching things like this that contain things you can identify with there's strength in numbers you're viewers are wright their with you ❤️

I recommend you to read the manga, the anime skips some short chapters that are cute and wholesome! The anime did a good job portraying the artstyle of Tomohito, the manga is on the way of the end. All the characters have names based on puns and their personality is based of these too and it's really hilarious! The only manga that, even with a lot of characters, that makes each character interesting and always funny!

Can I ask which streaming service you used to react to this? Reason is that Netflix cut SOOOOO much out of the subtitles compared to fan made ones. Like the entire chalk board had their entire conversation translated in one I saw.
