D. O. P. E.
(Data On Previous Engagement) Drill is a progressive diagnostic accountability drill, encompassing all fundamentals under individually timed standards.
Execution & Engagement Distances
Begin with a clean target, write in all variable data before starting. Then at distances that are relatable to your operational environment, engage this target with 5 rounds, from each yard line, from an auditory signal as fast as you can. Then track accountability with a designator. Collect first rounds, splits between each round, and overall time fired.
-
Example:
5m /
-10m X
-15m ◼️
-20m ⚫️
-25m 🔺
-
Looking for 100% Accountability! GOAL of 25 rounds inside the A-zone of the IPSC target.

Alibi: Kudos to Achilles Heel Tactical for not avoiding these..."gun-unfriendly states" and getting quality instruction out there, in states where Americans might find it difficult to get good quality instruction and like this, learn skills like how to self-assess ones own performance.

I just did this drill yesterday with Paul in NJ. This was 1st class with you guys and it was everything I had hoped it would be. I have a lot of room for improvement, but first time doing it with rifle I got a 15.79.

Excellent point made by Paul. We dont have to slow down. We just have to do it right. As we search for perfection, working with imperfect tools and living in an imperfect world, this should always be our mindset.

@@mjohnstonflyingthat dude has a damn monkey grip, that slide would just cycle right back in a straight line, yes comp helped but I'm sure he'll still get the same outcome with that grip and shooting experience.

The whole comp vs no comp thing has been beaten to death. If you're typing stuff like this then it just means you're out of touch. Move along.
@Osprey1994
@Osprey1994 Жыл бұрын
@mjohnstonflying T1C recently demonstrated that porting is the most effective, but it can have downsides. As for different division, IDPA now allows comped and ported guns. Things are changing, and it's up to you whether you get left behind. What's the downside of having faster split times? What's the downside of having a gun that you can control better especially in a compromised state such as one handed? I don't see why people shouldn't embrace technology when they can. As for this guy, he is going to shred with or without it. I have listened to him enough to know he knows what the hell he is talking about.
ANTICIPATION IS NOT AN EXCUSE.
