Am in my fourties....when i look back, i see those frustrated days of my childhood and teenage days.....Sachin gets out and the team collapses....it was more like watching sachin bat, rather than India winning...every tournament, it was sachins one man army (respect to dravid, ganguly, Laxman who gave in between some terrific wins); but team india was not a regularly winning team.... then comes these three boys Dhoni and Yuvi and Sehwag...even after Sachin lost his wicket and we all lost our hopes, they stood up started fighting back and eventually won...especially those partenrships at number 5 and 6.....The incredible wins in last overs...As Mahi took over the captaincy... he became a symbol for Faith, calmness (Ganguly was agressive but we did not win major tournaments, sachin was nervous captain, remember him biting his nails in tough situations, Dravid too was not confident looking as captain)the wins in biggest tournaments und the world cups, the champions tophy.....the ipl trophies....even with a relativly old team, in his fourties where your body aches even after a half an hour jogging...this mAn Mahendra Singh Dhoni is a wonder...I can only respect him for the Joy he gifted us indians, made us believe that we can win from any situations, Thank You Dhoni

Stating that MI has won 4 IPL title but remember this MI won 4 titles playing in twelve seasons of IPL & CSK has won 3 title in 10 seasons. CSK has qualified for playoffs everyone season not like MI team which flops and fail to qualify for playoffs after winning the title. The damn reality about MI title defense is, their chocking as usual when it comes down to defending the crown so far. MI chocked in 2014 (Lost to CSK in Eliminator), 2016 (Finished 5th & didn't qualify for playoffs) & 2018 (finished 5th & didn't qualify for playoffs) When you talk about great sports teams all around the World be it Club or International, you talk about how consistently those teams performed. A team legacy is all about how they keep on performing at top level season after season, day in & day out consistently every year.. People dont talk about a team which performs this year & flops next year, that they fail to turn up for title defence. Can you imagine Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayer Munich, Juventus failing to even qualify for Champions League, it is the bare minimum expectation of these clubs fans. I guess MI fans are quite happy with numbers & inconsistent performance.. When people talk about legendary sports teams in History like Brazil Football team led by Pele which won couple of world cups or Aussie Cricket team led by Waugh & later Pointing which churned out hat trick of world cups, people remember how consistent & dominant they were throughout a particular period in time.. Imagine if they win everything this year & fail to turn up next year then people would not have considered those teams as legendary & regarded such high praise about those teams.. Likewise when history of IPL is written there is no denying the fact that CSK were the only consistent team, who remind a constant in playoffs every season they played so far & also only IPL to have successfully defended their title so far..
