The Daffodil Project

Mount Hope Cemetery is ablaze with thousands of golden daffodils, thanks to the "Daffodil Project" led by retired landscape architect Bill Whitney. Bill's ambitious vision has inspired teams of dedicated volunteers, and with their help, this year will yield over 33,000 daffodils!
But the project's goal goes beyond sharing the quintessential spring flower's ephemeral beauty. With the help of the community, Bill is restoring Mount Hope's famous glacier-formed ‘kettle’ to its original 1840 design.
