The 206 HDi daily. "2oh"
As I begin to do the daft thing and modify the daily, I thought you might want to come along for the ride. . .
In this episode, FMIC (front mounted intercooler) and the boost goes up ... :-/
Still no name for this yet, feel free to suggest one.

Had the joy of doing this twice although never used the standard boost pipes underneath, just had both intercooler pipes over the top, when it comes to clutch do not use a CG motorsport one you'd have more chance with a standard one!

Interesting... How did you get the both pipes over the top? Not had a bad track record with CG tbh, little rattly that's all. I've got some videos on using a Helix kit previously... It's all going a little bit high-end with bigger budget more professional style builds and less messing around. Hey! Thanks for watching and commenting... always appreciated... All parts were sourced over a period of time from owners clubs and eBay. I'd suggest you work out the size of parts you wish to fit and then go bargain hunting .. it's all down to your preference 👍 🐷💪

Hi piggy thanks for sharing this with us, what modifications did you made on the hdi 110 lower pipe, mine didn't fit well because of the turbo orientation.. Did you use the original hose to connect it to the turbo? Thanks

No modifications required. Used original connector yes. Fyi: the C5 110 pipe fits better!

Yeah, wangle it round and undo the jubilees on both ends of the little silicone hose and get it on!!

Can i just ask why Peugeot thought it was a good idea to put those MASSIVE cooling fans on it? When i had my front bumper off my 306. I nearly broke them just by just giving a little tug.

Because bigger is better. If you're stationary and need air flow in summer when your engine is red hot... you need to produce 50mph air flow somehow,n

Hiya, I've also got a Peugeot 206 2ltr hdi and I was planing to put a 406 2.2 ltr diesel in because it had more bhp stock/still economical however, my insurance thought otherwise since I'm a young driver haha. So anyways plan B is to fit an inter cooler, Block EGR, add a dump valve and remap it. I was wondering do you have a recommendations on an inter cooler? Cheers

Yeah, the 2.2 would be interesting but the only benefit is the 16v head... You'll get plenty of power from the stock engine remapped ... Have you got a stage1 map already? You'll notice a big difference there. Plus you may find insurance won't like stage2/intercooler changes...and stage1 often doesn't need an improved clutch or modifications of any sort. Also, have you done some research online with 2.0hdi tuning? As not sure where you've got the idea of a dump valve?... Which is a modification that will result in reduced turbocharger performance! Intercooler is personal preference, based on where you wish to run the pipework and how much cutting you wish to do. You won't need anything bigger than what's fitted in this video though 👌

​@@PiggyPower No this one hasn't been remapped yet was planing on doing it within the next 2 weeks. I was thinking to remap it to 130 Bhp. A mate has a dump valve laying about and said it might be worth but i have not actually done much research into if its necessary. I do see what you mean though might scrap that idea haha but do some research first. I've spoken to my insurance and they seemed to be less fussed about a remap and transmission modifications then they were with an engine swap which i found funny haha. Aaa fair enough ill have a look online for a inter cooler with similar dimensions cheers

A dump valve on a vehicle without a butterfly to throttle actually has a negative impact on performance. So, basically you will be adding a boost leak to your HDi ! At Piggypower we do remaps for all 8v 2.0HDi vehicles, like your 206, if you are interested 👌🐷💪

If I install a K&N Cold air intake kit will I have to remap the ecu due to more air getting into the engine or will it not matter?

It won't make any difference whatsoever. Keep to your stock air intake system and spend your money on fuel/remap. The stock airbox and filter will not restrict you at 175bhp+

If you don't remap, the intercooler essentially won't make any power difference at all. If you DONT put an intercooler on you can get it remapped and see considerable gains. (stg1 remap = 125bhp)

@@PiggyPower Thank you for advice. I disabled egr and removed catalitic converter. Now it feels faster. I daily use it so I think remap with intercooler will be better for the engine. Stock 2.0 hdi with intercooler gives 110hp Im trying to get about 120-130.

Egr and removal of catalyst doesn't actually make anymore power. Just makes the turbo more responsive. A stg1 remap WITHOUT intercooler will give you 125bhp. WITH an intercooler, 150bhp, but you will need an updated clutch fitted 👌

Hello, Can anyone tell me about 306's?Im about to buy one, to be specific it is 2/3-door phase 3 with 1.6 petrol engine making 100hp i think...So my general question what are things to look for and any tips you guys have 😁

Rust on front floor from it being jacked up incorrectly. Rust on rear inner/upper arches from arch liners being removed. Excessive camber/knock from rear axle (full replacement if so). Tapping from top end. Crunchy gear changes. Should be fine otherwise. If they say AC works... They are probably lying! Have fun! Join the Piggypower FB group and share it if you buy! 🐷💪👍

Ohhhh... Have to head to wiki and correct that ... The VTR Saxo supposedly had 100bhp... I've heard people used the bits from the Saxo VTR engine to get some gains in the 306.

If I was going to upgrade .. I would fit an upgrade not a hybrid which is like the worst of both worlds. Never seen hybrids be worthwhile in my experience tbh. . . Plus... Need to TRY and keep this as stock as possible 🙈
