I use dynamic volume, light on Denon 3800h. That's making the sound louder for me and i like it.

I always use a bass gain/attenuation knob in my car systems. Cant go back now. Wish I had one for home theater! I consider my bass knob as similar to Dynamic EQ as I adjust for the type of music/ specific genre/recording/level and also road noise. Even with a house curve if your listening at low volumes at times its nice to have the option of DYN EQ at its lowest level to help compensate for how we hear bass no?

I know the guy that did the speaker shootout where I live in Colorado Springs. The place is not to far from me where they do these tests
