This point is important and sometimes you also hear people argue things like "there's more black on white murders than white on black murders" even if that's true it's irrelevant. Because it ignores the motive for the crime. If it wasn't motivated by racial hatred then it is just crime. Still tragic but it's NOT the same thing as a crime motivated by racial hatred.

***** In your hypothetical you're comparing two murders that have essentially the same motive. So a better example would be: 1. A white person is murdered by a black racist because he is white. 2. A white person is murdered by a black person during a robbery where the victims race was incidental and he could just as easily have been black. Both would be tragedies as all murders are but they are clearly different crimes because the motive is different.

I agree, I am black, and I think that the man was killed because the cop was in fear. Whether just it unjust he was killed. Was this racism? I honesty don't know but I think that it isn't all ok. This is not the worst offense ever, I think Trayvon Martin was a racist killing.

Larry Wilmore had Don Cheadle in his show a few weeks ago, they were talking about people volunteering to go to the moon. Then Cheadle said: Are there any Mexicans doing? or who's going to do the cleaning? Wilmore laughed somewhat uncomfortably, said; "oh c'mon man!" and brushed it off. This guy (Wilmore) always bitching about blacks being discriminated and profiled and at the same time turning the other way when in HIS OWN program another black man says something racist against another ethnic group and he gives it a pass... Hypocrite

Ferguson is one of the most complex cases involving race so far. On the one hand you can say that the witness testimony was inconsistent and Mr. Brown had just robbed a convenience store. Also, so far, no history of racist acts/racism in general has been reported in Officer Wilson's background. On the other hand at no point was it reported that Darren Wilson knew Brown had just robbed a convenience store and Tasers and guns have distinctly different designs. (This being the result of a police officer accidentally killing someone because when reaching for their Taser they chose the gun because it felt extremely similar in his hand.) Also, there is such a thing as a warning shot or 'an arrow to the knee' for a lack of a better term. Yes, I do believe there was racism involved. The racism that comes from a history of racism. The kind that only rears its ugly head when there is some level of perceived danger or otherwise extreme situation. Quite frankly I would like to get into Eric Garner but this is already a really long comment and that's just a big pile of crazy I'm not touching with a 39 and a 1/2 foot grinch pole. Also, don't bother replying to me because I never notice when people do. There isn't really a notification for it.

Khalid Merghani I'm afraid most so called porn artists have been forced to do it via either being recruited into prostitution as a child or lured in by false advertising. There is no information on the various websites about the health and safety issues around prolapsed rectums, ripped vaginal tissue, STDs in the eye, throat, ear and genitals or the psychological trauma inherent in being used for sex or suffering hate speech and violence in your job. The huge incidence of drug use by females in the industry is testament to the fact that the sex industry has huge issues with hate speech, hate violence and abuse against both women and female children.

that is EXACTLY what I was thinking. He may or may not be a good man- hell, i don't know him, so I can't judge that part right?. But I really don't think he's the funniest man around like i've heard so many say.. It just looks a little fake, and the way he's always starring at the camera makes it look unnatural, like he's got all his punchlines written down.. I think it's just not my type of comedy :P

This is such a shame because Jon's show is one of my favorite shows, because i agree with what happened in ferguson regarding the jury decision and the country is now using this situation to say white cops and police forces are racist, stop kissing up to black people Jon and look at the facts, Mike brown robbed a store, probably was on drugs and attacked a cop to the point he was in fear for his life, that's not a racial murder like Trayvon Martin was, why the fuck aren't people rioting and protesting the Trayvon shooting because that was actually a real race issue.
