For the record, Batman v Superman, if we're talking non-lethal takedown, Batman has Superman's number eight ways from Sunday. Batman is never without kryptonite, just in case Superman or some other Kryptonian gets dangerous, and he routinely deals with villains far more physically powerful than himself. One might be tempted to say Superman has Batman if we permit lethal takedowns, but remember, Batman has plans to neutralise the entire Justice League, including Superman. These plans were stolen and put into action, the only reason Superman didn't die is Batman knew how to defuse his own plans.

Michael Vaughan "I know that Superman could squash me like bug. But I know he won't. Because deep down Clark is a good person. And deep down I'm not."
@DenisDLight9 жыл бұрын
Michael Vaughan IMO if Batsy wanted to take down Superdude he wouldn't be like:Let's fight you invincible alien.I'll kick your ass. No,he would be something like:Clark,i'm in danger on the underground levels in Gotham...come and find me quick the Joker has....*signal interrupts* Superman moves fast to the underground levels just to find himself surrounded by Kryptonite or some kind of Red Sun's radiation,which we've seen before it can be replicated,and Batman going behind a weakened Superman with gloves made of Krytonite and brutally snapping his neck.I can think a whole lot of other scenarios on how Batman can defeat Supes by using his intelligence,because when it comes to brutal force Supes knows no equal.
@MrImastinker9 жыл бұрын
Michael Vaughan You don't know very much about comics, do you?Almost every single time they have fought, Superman has beaten Batman. And unlike the movie Justice League Doom, where the League needed Batman's help to survive, Tower of Babel showed the League saving themselves. Oh, and you seem to forget that Superman has resources that Batman doesn't. Alien weapons and tech in his fortress that make Batman's look like toys. And the fact that Superman is a greater scientist and processes information faster than any human.
@SeecretWeapon9 жыл бұрын
MrImastinker i want to know how Superman is fighting him when he's always carrying kryptonite?Batman can also synthesize Red Sun effects, which means he basically strips him of his powers. What would a farm boy from Kansas do to Batman? All you're hoping for is a scenario where there's no kryptonite and where the biggest bullshit comic character of them all fights a man without any powers. well then if thats the fight you want then i guess Superman would win. But it's never happening
@MrImastinker9 жыл бұрын
Dkouts57 And that's the thing. Even with kryptonite, Superman has defeated Batman by using his wits or unleashing his full power. In that situation, a little piece of kryptonite won't do much. Contrary to popular belief, one little piece doesn't turn Superman into a helpless little bitch.

Batman reports to no one. He lets Gordon in on the stuff he learns, but he doesn't work for him. Superman, on the other hand, reports to the president of the US. If you read the Dark Knight Returns, this is a big theme: the leaderless (Batman) against the lead (Superman). Sorry NDT, had to clear it up. And btw, Batman would win. He comes prepared.

Carlo Martini None of them win. That's the point of their friendship. That's why they're the Worlds Finest.
@CarloMartinini9 жыл бұрын
William XIV Greenleaf Yeah they work together in the Justice League, but they have fought before. Watch the Dark Knight Returns, it features an awesome fight between the two. And Batman wins the fight. Even before that, Batman had drawn up contingency plans in case any of the members of the League went rogue. He knew that one day he might have to put one of them, like Superman, down.
@Supremed99 жыл бұрын
Carlo Martini Batman didn't win the fight in TDKR, that's the point. None of them won. Batman would never kill him and he would never kill Batman.
@Supremed99 жыл бұрын
Also, the contingency plans were to immobilize, not to kill.
@CarloMartinini9 жыл бұрын
William XIV Greenleaf You don't need to kill to win. Otherwise Batman would never "win", since he doesn't kill anyone. And by incapacitating Clark, Batman won. Hence the quote at the end of the fight: "I want you to remember, Clark…in all the years to come…in your most private moments…I want you to remember…my hand…at your throat…I want you to remember…the one man who beat you."

Superman has beaten Batman REPEATEDLY. Almost every single time they come to blows, Superman reminds Batman that as brilliant as he is, as resourceful as he is, he is just a MAN. Batman fanboys just don't get that.
@LurchyScott9 жыл бұрын
MrImastinker What Superman fanboys don't get is that without his powers, Superman is useless. Superman has beaten Batman but how many times was Batman prepared? None as far as I know. Do you honestly think Batman would fight Superman unprepared if it was a planned event? Of course not. All it takes is one little thing to render Superman useless and do you honestly think Batman wouldn't use it if he had to? The Dark Knight Returns story proves that. Batman would beat Superman if he was prepared for it. Obviously Batman can't beat him without further planning but Superman can't beat him without his powers.
@MrImastinker9 жыл бұрын
Lurch Murphy You obviously don't know squat about Superman beyond the disrespect done to him by Frank Miller. Even without his powers, Superman is a capable hand-to-hand fighter at peak human physical condition. He is a greater scientist and inventor than Batman, handles alien tech and weapons that make Batman's look like toys in comparision, and if you think Batman is a beast with prep time look at the crazy stunts Superman has pulled off with time to plan. Kryptonite can hurt and kill him, but one little piece isn't going to guarantee victory. If that were the case he would have been killed a long time ago. And as I have said, Superman has kicked Batman's ass REPEATEDLY.
@MrImastinker9 жыл бұрын
Lurch Murphy Sorry if I was rude there.
@kristianflorencedecastro61429 жыл бұрын
MrImastinker ummmm.... no,you are right though at superman being able to beat batman if superman is kryptonian but if he's human i don't think so .... remember his foster parents were farmers but they still managed to give him an education unlike batman who seriously gain knowledge and experience using his money and his depressing life .... superman only managed to invent those things using his kryptonian brain and abilities ...batman and other heroes taught superman how to survive just in case of a red sun ...but still you are right
@jahannargolwala64419 жыл бұрын
MrImastinker Isn't the Superman you're talking about from the 'All-Star' series? If so, then that wouldn't count as that series wasn't in the canon. Also, while the normal Superman does have access to some ridiculous alien tech, Batman has tactical skills that are second to none. In my opinion, an example of them facing off is best shown in the Injustice series (also non-canon). Superman takes down and rules pretty much the whole world, but he's still not able to defeat Batman, who (sometimes by the skin of his teeth) always finds a way to stay one step ahead. I'm not saying Batman would win in a fight and I'd still give it to Superman. But as shown in all their fights, it would be far from easy.

It shows all over Jon Stewart face, that he didnt care what Neil deGrasse Tyson was saying at the end. Then pretty much said shut up your time is up. lol

"Who does Batman report to" "...ultimately, the Mayor" "Who does Superman report to" "... no one we know" That's completely the opposite of the ideologies of these two characters in The Dark Knight Returns. Superman is working for the Government and Batman is the outlaw vigilante who is trying to save his city. From what I gather, since Neil Degrasse Tyson will be in Batman v Superman and he has insider knowledge, Zack Snyder reversed the ideologies of Batman and Superman from The Dark Knight Returns for the movie. The idea that Snyder could do that for the movie is just making me more and more afraid that Snyder has no clue who these characters are, and what they're supposed to be.

I did not know Snyder was also a writer for the film

Ze Steve he wrote the story with David Goyer and had Chris Terrio write the script.

Sedinam Adzowu alright, I did not know that. They should give him credit for the writing, I haven't seen his name be credited yet on different source outlets.

Ze Steve that's because they just have him as director. And credit Goyer alone as the story writer. But they both developed it.

According to deGrasse, there is a rise in people's interest in science ie the Geekisphere is rising. Agree that its an exciting time to be alive with new discoveries in science and the universe.
