As a revert it’s honestly a hard hit to my eeman seeing the beauty of Islam online and then going to local masjids and seeing the Muslim communities (people raised Muslim) doing things and acting ways that completely go against Islam and whenever I do or act the way I’ve been taught according to the Quran/Sunnah they look at me like I’m innovating or something. May I ask why it was that you were raised in a Muslim household and you were ignorant as to what Islam actually is? Don't say Salallahu'Alayhi Wasalam after the name of Sayed AlKhalq Nabi Muhammad AlMustafa because He (S) commanded us to not say like that. See that He (S) said : "Do not pray for me in short/ cutten/ amputated (salatul batra') !” The companions asked: "What is praying in short? ”The Prophet replied: "Saying that Prayers of Allah be upon Muhammad.” They asked, "what should we say?” The Prophet (S) answered, "Say: Prayers of Allah be upon Muhammad and His Family.” In another wordings the Prophet replied: "Say: O Allah pray upon Muhammad and His Family the same way as you pray for Abraham and his household. Narrated by 'AbdulRahman bin Abi Laila: Ka'b bin Ujrah met me and said, "Shall I not give you A Present I got from The Prophet?" `AbdulRahman said: "Yes, give It to me." I said: "We asked RassulAllah (S) saying: "O RassulAllah ! How should one (ask Allah to) send prayers on You, AhlalBayt, for Allah has taught us how to salute you ("in the prayer")?' He said, 'Say: Allahuma (O Allah) Sali (Pray) 'ala (On) Muhammad wa (and) 'ala Alee (The Family of) Muhammad, kama (as) Salayta (You Prayed) 'ala Ibrahim wa 'ala Alee Ibraham, Inaka (for You are) Hamidun (the Most Praise-worthy), Majid (the Most Glorious). Allahuma Barek (Send Your Blessings) 'ala Muhammad wa 'ala Alee Muhammad, kama Barakta 'ala Ibrahim wa 'ala Alee Ibrahim, Inaka Hamidun Majid"" [Sunni Reference : Sahih AlBukhari 3370 Book 60, Hadith 44 ; Grade : Sahih] And what was said above includes Salat and Nasheeds... and you should say Allahuma Sali 'ala Muhammadin wa Alee Muhammad IN SALAT (That's a compulsion for every Muslim including Ahl AlSunnah walJama'a to pray on them IN The Salat wether you are Maliki, Hanafi, Shafi'i or Hanbali).
