I've always liked the aesthetic, sets and feel of this movie. The London sets and the mine workings are great, they're beautiful dalek props, the saucer is a superb piece of model design , and there are some great names in the cast and it's surprisingly good in terms of pacing. Just forget about your preconceptions based on the originals, get a couple of beers on the go and the Cushing Dalek movies are fun stuff.

@@275mtb I agree! The Movie Daleks were way superior to their TV counterparts of the time! In fact, I think they're better than Russell T. Davies modern day "Bronze Daleks!" I don't think the Movie Daleks have ever been bettered! It's odd, because I understand the Movie Daleks were made by Shawcraft Models, who also made the original TV Daleks! ... So, why were they so different? Maybe because of the size difference between a FILM SET and a TV STUDIO? The TV Daleks had to be smaller to fit in the BBC Studio?

I believe that they were working on it, "daleks vs mechanoids" I think was the production title, got abandoned in '73 when they ran way over budget and a fair way into the film, you can find the odd scene here and there, just got to know where to look. You might want to check me on that though!

I have wondered this since I was about nine and what about the partial robotizing on Doctor Who and Tom. In Revelation of the Daleks we see the horrible dalek induced human mutation into a dalek creature. There is definitely a story to be told there in the aftermath.
