The Dales Way is one of Britain’s best loved, most written about, most beautiful long-distance walks.
Starting at Ilkey in West Yorkshire the 82 mile route follows a river route to Bowness-on-Windermere in the Lake District. The walk has recently featured on Clare Balding’s Radio 4 Ramblings programme (www.bbc.co.uk/p...)
Devised by Colin Speakman, the original guide has been updated by Skyware (www.skyware.co.... ) with large-scale, full colour, strip maps with detailed description of the route, together with insightful accounts of the places and features of interest along the way. Colin makes a special guest appearance in the video and lifts our spirits during another downpour!
This video with give you a taste of this cherished long distance path so that you may join the over 2000 people who do the walk every year. The Dales Way is prefect introduction for those new to long distance walking, especially for those who are planning to tackle the Dales High Way or the longer Coast to Coast walk.
