This "Plum Crazy" purple instantly took me back to 1971... when this Demon's ancestors, the Duster, the Super Bee and the Road Runner, were the new muscle of the day. Lots of "Earl Scheib" paint jobs turned a lot of Dodges this color during those years. Hell, I even painted my Huffy bike (with the obligatory banana seat and sissy bar) Big Daddy Roth "purple metal flake" because it was so cool. I still love that color to this day. 😁

Hell cat was WAY too much for her. Got home and it dawned on me...we just bought a “scat” pack...shit pack. Nice job on the name there dodge. Still a very fun car. Faster than anything I’ve ever owned for sure. Including the fox body I had as a kid that was hot shit running low 13’s back in the early 00’s/late 90’s. Now I’ve got a four door sedan that everything actually works on (for now) and would blow that Fox body away, especially on the highway. Amazing how far cars have come.

"if you can't trust a used car salesman"... long ago, freshly minted from law school, a friend was having trouble getting her deposit back from a car dealer. She asked me to come down (she was a friend of a girlfriend), and a conversation ensued about giving this poor girl her money back. The dealership had totally screwed up, but were being, well, used car dealers. So I politely explained that 1) it wasn't a lot of money now, and 2) in no way was it my friend's fault - so cough up the dough. 30 minutes later, we're still going back and forth and every argument the dealership is coming up with I'm batting down. They kept telling her to "trust them to give them her money back," politely, I'm disagreeing and the car salesman then says "well, you don't know about integrity, you're a lawyer" I looked at him and said "and you're a used car salesman, give this girl her money back." They did.... and we all were laughing about it.

you should have spent what that Demon cost on air conditioning. there is one I wouldn't mind having, it's an original demon that's been restored and hot rodded but done without hurting the original looks. The original Demon wasn't based on the Challenger, it was based on the Dart/Duster body and chassis. I've done a non-scientific survey of what people in my area are buying and driving. In full size pickups, its neck and neck with Ford and Chevy, Toyota in a solid third, and Dodge/Ram way down the list. At this point there really isn't a small truck, Ford Rangers and Nissan's are about as large as most full size non extended cab models, but both are doing well in local use. In full size SUV's it's Ford and Chevy neck and neck and Toyota and Nissan right behind... Dodges are not too common at all. In smaller SUVS there are a wide range of choices and a clear winner has not emerged, but the Mercedes SUV won't be in the hunt. Few drive them around here, even though they're built not far from where I'm located. Now in cars...hard to say they're mostly all alike and it's hard to catch the brand badge to know what it is. My Ford Focus looks just like Chevy's and a dozen other brands. still dodge/chrysler really isn't even in the hunt.
