@@grandpa7278 [... tells of nitpicking after the purchase same day ...] You damn well better do it the same day, the turn around is three times longer after you pull it out of the lot. That being said, the dealer was using the "bumper to bumper" and "like buying a new one" angle to sell vehicles with notorious maintenance problems thinking nobody would make them make good on their sales pitch. They were wrong. [... thinkin it makes him sound....sharp or smart.] It makes him sound like a guy insisting that the dealership makes good on the promises they made at purchase. They promised him a "like new" experience, and he demanded it. You don't have to be sharp or smart to get what you paid for; what you have to be is determined to see that the other side makes good. Rabbit did just that. As far as demanding that they remove their dealership decals; I do the same thing. I am sharp and smart; what I am not is a rolling billboard for the place determined to get as much money out of me as my gullibility or naivete makes possible. Bought a car with a "bumper to bumper warranty" recently. Being my first sports car and only 24yo I was very excited and didn't read all the fine print. The amount of discrepancies in the fine print is ridiculous. For example, the warranty is only valid if I have my oil changed professionally every 100 days even if I only drive 10 miles in that 100 days. Always, ALWAYS, read the fine print.
@abes39255 жыл бұрын
He was smart in that he never drove it off the lot after buying it since he can return the car and the dealer doesn't want to lose a sale especially on used car like a Rover since they're hard to sell . The Dealership were promising him a like-new experience so he expects it too look as good as new. luxury car dealerships experience is all about customer satisfaction. Lexus for example has the highest satisfaction rating cuz they please their customers to the fullest. Any little problem like odd sound coming from the dashboard that is barely noticable will be fixed even if the mechanics have to take apart the whole car lexus would do that.
