I love the personalised review. It resonates with us all because we all bring our own personality into the movie theatre, and depending on the movie, we all leave it a little different than when we entered it. I'm looking forward to seeing The Damned too. Also, I never knew that New Year movies were usually horror movies. I guess that is why I was able to see Nosferatu on New Years Day in my local cinema. Those of us who have seen Bram Stoker's Dracula will find Nosferatu to be that movie, just set in a different place. A good gothic horror it certainly is, but it seems to me that it owes too much to Coppola to be considered the 'masterpiece' that many reviewers are calling it. I'm sure that someone younger than me who might not have seen Coppola's 90's movie would be seriously impressed with Egger's film, but the truth is that it is unquestionably hugely influenced by Coppola's film almost frame for frame.
