This really hits home thank you! This world has just got out of hand, everywhere I turn is sin. Even on the back of most mobile phones is a symbol of taking a bite from the forbidden fruit. Christian's really do need to keep close to the word or risks of getting sucked in are high.

What an incredible sermon! How rare to find a Godly pastor now-a-days who will preach a convicting sermon to a room of professing Christians. He raises so many valid points. One of the main causes is we tend to marry non believers or nominal, carnal Christians and then many so called Christian houses ARENT really Christian. Or we tend to say, we decided to let the children decide what they want when they grow up. I always thought this sent the message to the children, that faith to us is so unimportant it makes no difference if you believe it or not. I don't know if it will ever change though.

To those listening to Platt. Be warned! Rather using my own words I will go to the words of Christ. Since I believe that the church in Sardis points to the denominational churches. Revelation 3:3-6 3 And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead. 2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. 3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. 4 Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy. 5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. 6 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. "a name that thou livest, and art dead". The reform church claims salvation by grace through faith in Christ Jesus and not by our own efforts or works (Ephesians 2:8-9) but introduces works salvation through the backdoor and therefore is dead (Platt's message brings you back to your flesh, your sins, and to your death. " Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God." Platt, Piper, McArthur will redefine the definition of faith to include works. They talk about easy believism, yet it is God who shall judge their work and find it imperfect. If this is the measure of their faith, they will be found lacking. "3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent." Here, I would recommend that Platt go back to Galatians. 3 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? 2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? 4 Have ye suffered so many things in vain? Wrapped by Christ's righteousness we become holy and pure. It is only then that we are indwelled by the Holy Spirit ( Spirit can only indwell a Holy Temple). To use a Hockey analogy, we ought to go where the puck will be rather than where the puck is. We are called to walk in the Spirit " Galatians 4:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law." "If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. " The lack of awareness/study of end of times prophecies (Book of Revelation,...) with the modern churches is equally shocking. We are currently seeing incredible prophecies aligning with the implication that we might be very close to Christ's return and all of these Platt-type churches have remained completely blind. To these churches, Christ will come like a thief.

Great message so far, I'm at the 12 minute mark. I just have to say the protestant reformers wrote against tithing. I think tithe begging totally takes away the correct spirit of giving.

Oh Brother he’s not tithe begging, but he’s definitely convicting those who do not with the means to do so. Tithing is a big part of church whether you choose to believe it or not, tithing reflects your love and dedication to the church.
