@CJP.-pq3kr How do you figure my statement to be false? He is a leader of a new religion that goes against Catholic doctrines.
@BrianBenson-rc9mu
@BrianBenson-rc9mu 9 ай бұрын
@CJP.-pq3kr What's wrong with Vatican II? FAQs 1. What is wrong with the Second Vatican Council? The Second Vatican Council taught doctrines which had been already condemned by the Church, and enacted disciplines which are contrary to the Church's teaching and constant practice. 2. What doctrines did it teach which were already condemned? There are four major errors concerning: (1) the unity of the Church; (2) ecumenism; (3) religious liberty; (4) collegiality. 3. What false doctrine does it teach concerning the unity of the Church? Vatican II teaches heresy concerning the unity of the Church, namely that the Church of Christ is not exclusively identified with the Catholic Church, but merely subsists in it. This heretical doctrine is contained principally in Lumen Gentium, and its heretical meaning is confirmed in statements of Paul VI and his successors, particularly in the 1983 Code of Canon Law, in the 1992 Statement concerning Church and Communion, and in the Ecumenical Directory. It is contrary to the teaching of the Catholic Church, contained principally in Satis Cognitum of Pope Leo XIII, Mortalium Animos of Pope Pius XI, Mystici Corporis of Pope Pius XII, and in the condemnations of the "Branch Theory" made by the Holy Office under Pope Pius IX. 4. What false doctrine does it teach concerning ecumenism? The teaching of Vatican II concerning ecumenism, which states that non-Catholic religions are a "means of salvation," is overtly heretical. This doctrine directly contradicts the teaching of the Church that there is no salvation outside the Catholic Church, called by Pope Pius IX "a most well-known Catholic dogma." In addition, the ecumenical practices which have resulted from this heretical doctrine are directly contrary to Mortalium Animos of Pope Pius XI. 5. What false doctrine does it teach concerning religious liberty? The teaching of Vatican II on religious liberty, contained in Dignitatis Humanae, nearly word for word asserts the very doctrine which was condemned by Pope Pius VII in Post Tam Diuturnas, by Pope Gregory XVI in Mirari Vos, by Pope Pius IX in Quanta Cura, and by Pope Leo XIII in Libertas Praestantissimum. The teaching of Vatican II on religious liberty also contradicts the royalty of Jesus Christ in society as expressed in Quas Primas of Pope Pius XI, and the constant attitude and practice of the Church with regard to civil society. 6. What false doctrine does it teach concerning collegiality? The teaching of Vatican II concerning collegiality alters the monarchical constitution of the Catholic Church, with which she was endowed by the Divine Savior. The doctrine of Vatican II, confirmed by the 1983 Code of Canon Law, which states that the subject (the possessor) of the supreme authority of the Church is the college of bishops together with the pope, is contrary to the defined doctrine of the Council of Florence and of Vatican I. 7. What is wrong with the disciplines which have emanated from Vatican II? The 1983 Code of Canon Law contains the heresy of Vatican II concerning the Church, mentioned above. It also permits sacrilege to the Blessed Sacrament, by approving of its reception by non-Catholics, which is a mortal sin, and permits communicatio in sacris (common public worship) with non-Catholics, which is a mortal sin. In addition, the Ecumenical Directory of 1993 permits ecumenical practices which have always been taught by the Church to be mortally sinful. 8. What does all this mean? It means that Vatican II and its subsequent reforms have given us a new religion, a religion which is substantially different from the Roman Catholic Faith founded by Christ. The reformers have substantially altered the three main components of religion: doctrine, worship, and discipline. The result is that the reformers are promoting a religion of ecumenism in place of the Roman Catholic religion, which has always taught that it alone is the one, true Faith, and that all other religions are false. The Vatican II religion teaches doctrines which have been condemned by the Church in the past. It has instituted rites and disciplines which are Protestant in nature. As a result, the religion which Catholics find in their local parishes and schools, although in name Catholic, is a new, non-Catholic religion already condemned by the Catholic Church.

New Covenant Whole Gospel: How many modern Christians cannot honestly answer the first three questions below? Who is now the King of Israel in John 1:49? Is the King of Israel now the Head of the Church, and are we His Body? Why did God allow the Romans to destroy the Old Covenant temple and the Old Covenant city, about 40 years after His Son fulfilled the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34 in blood at Calvary? What the modern Church needs is a New Covenant Revival (Heb. 9:10) in which members of various denominations are willing to re-examine everything they believe and see if it agrees with the Bible, instead of the traditions of men. We need to be like the Bereans. It will be a battle between our flesh and the Holy Spirit. It will not be easy. If you get mad and upset when someone challenges your man-made Bible doctrines, that is your flesh resisting the truth found in God's Word. Nobody can completely understand the Bible unless they understand the relationship between the Old Covenant given to Moses at Mount Sinai and the New Covenant fulfilled in blood at Calvary. What brings all local churches together into one Body under the blood of Christ? The answer is found below. Let us now share the Old Testament Gospel found below with the whole world. On the road to Emmaus He said the Old Testament is about Him. He is the very Word of God in John 1:1, 14. Awaken Church to this truth. Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by husband unto them, saith the LORD: Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Is the most important genealogy in the Bible found in Matthew 1:1 (Gal. 3:16)? Is God's Son the ultimate fulfillment of Israel (John 1:49)? Why has the modern Church done a pitiful job of sharing the Gospel with modern Orthodox Jews? Why would someone tell them they are God's chosen people and then fail to share the Gospel with them? Who is the seed of the woman promised in Genesis 3:15? What did Paul say about Genesis 12:3 in Galatians 3:8, 3:16? Who is the "son" in Psalm 2? Who is the "suffering servant" of Isaiah 53? Who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34? Who would fulfill the timeline of Daniel chapter 9 before the second temple was destroyed? Why have we not heard this simple Old Testament Gospel preached on Christian television in the United States on a regular basis? Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, man-made Bible doctrines fall apart. Let us now learn to preach the whole Gospel until He comes back. The King of Israel is risen from the dead! (John 1:49, Acts 2:36) We are not come to Mount Sinai in Hebrews 12:18. We are come instead to the New Covenant church of Mount Zion and the blood in Hebrews 12:22-24. 1Jn 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. 1Jn 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. 1Jn 3:24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us. The following verses prove the Holy Spirit is the master teacher for those now in the New Covenant. Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Mar 1:8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost. Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Act 11:16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. 1Co 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 1Jn 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. I'm lucky that my Catholic church is very lively with parishioners of all ages, but especially people in their 20's through early 40's (many have families too). There are all sorts of events throughout the year aimed at bringing young couples together, and I feel like I have a great sense of fellowship. This is largely attributed to our wonderful 44 year old priest who is very engaged, gives extremely thought provoking homilies, and understands the importance of building strong social ties. My Catholic experience is both intellectually and socially stimulating. I only just started attending this church 2.5 years ago (and before that had lapsed on attending mass at all though I still considered myself a believer in God), and it's brought me such joy and stability in ways that I've been missing for years. Interestingly I found my desire to return to mass through the writings of G.K. Chesterton (a Catholic intellectual from the early 20th century), C.S. Lewis, and Dante's Divine Comedy. I also found Bishop Barron's KZbin channel which was a big help. Bishop Barron is so right: there is so much intellectual depth to the teachings and philosophies of the Catholic Church. It's been a wonderful journey to rediscover the church and its complexities. There is so much to be gleaned from someone like St. Thomas Aquinas, who married Aristotelian philosophy with Christian teachings, and he forever changed the way the west perceived human existence and purpose. I also greatly appreciate the beauty of the art, music, and architecture that has been commissioned and supported by the church throughout the centuries (Notre Dame and St. Peter's Basilica are perfect examples). The majesty of a beautiful gothic church only enhances my experience in mass and makes me feel closer to God. Thank you Bishop Barron for bringing me (and my husband) back to the church, you are touching souls out there!

A big problem with that is not everyone wants to be social but it's assumed we need to be. I cannot stand the fake attitudes of church people. I don't fit it and I'm tired of the dirty looks I get and fake smiles afterwards. Just leave me alone. I hate the social expectations put on people, especially to get married. When i was Mormon I had tons of freinds. When I left LDS church I lost all but two. So, now I don't trust any of these church people. All fake. This is a big problem in all churches

Here's the thing, in my experience,and I'm not alone, church people are fake AF. I was Mormon and they have great community. But when you leave, you lose it all. Same thing in other churches. Fake smiles & fake friendship. I don't trust church people anymore. Also, .y clothes arent boring and "traditional". Even though I'm not showing my body, make no mistake, I still get nasty looks from the women especially. People are expected to be social but it's all fake. I'm tired of it

I am constantly reading comments of people saying how they came back to the faith or converted; this is a subject that gets no coverage- only the part about people leaving when they are young gets all the press. Would love to see the numbers on those that come back later in life.

Bring back the beauty and traditions of the Latin Mass. Whenever I visit a Latin Mass church the place is full of young people. There's one Novus Ordo church in our area where the priest is very reverent and follows traditional rubrics. The place is full every Sunday. Since my childhood the Catholic Church has been stripped of everything that made it inspiring (except the Eucharist).

@@RPlavo I'm not sure if this a true or false suggestion. My take is that when they switched to the new Mass a lot of people saw it as a way to strip the faith of everything beautiful. In trying to reach the world they copied the world's ugly standards. Too many modern Catholic masses have lost the sense of sacred space and liturgy. And lost the sense of the masculine side of God. I cringe at the crap music, the blandness and the ignorance of the rich faith. But I don't think we all need to go to Latin Mass as the only answer. We just need to stop trying to please the 7 old ladies who still live in the 1970's folk song/ecumenism mindset.

Part of the reason that young people may not be getting their driver's license at age sixteen is the high cost of having a car to drive. Used cars today are expensive to buy and maintain. For most teenagers, given the complexity of modern automobiles, do it yourself auto repairs are a thing of the past. Then there is the requirement of mandatory automobile insurance which can be expensive. For a great many of teenagers, owning and operating a car is just too damn expensive.

Megyn, my daughter just went through 10 years of trying to get an annulment. Her situation was exactly like yours. I was involved in her reasoning for her divorce because the man abusing my grandson was found out by me which led to everything that happened. Then she met a Catholic guy and they eventually got married and when they were ready, started working on getting an annulment so they, too, could practice their faith. I had to write to the Michigan bishop involved and told him it wasn't her fault for her divorce, it was her ex's and mine. And in the long run, they were finally approved and were re-married in the Church. Keep with it, ask Mary to lead you and Doug and ask for prayers from everyone you know and trust. God bless you.

I discovered Jesus and my real faith in Him there, also biblical doctrine and the truth of the gospel. My faith became alive as a Christian while previously it was a religious non-faith.. I'm not sure how to explain it better. May the Lord continue to work in your faith.. ask Him to bless yr marriage and He'll give you His peace abt it

Megyn, some young people look at their future and are not even trying to be achievers as they are not hopeful about their future. The cost of living in some cities is so high and my nephew on my husbands side pays high rent and yet owners are not maintaining apartments! Some people are working so many hours that it is harder to get to church than it was for us! Without hope there is no Faith for future blessings from God!

There is a lack of community outside of church. We go to mass to worship God and then head off in our own directions. Overall, there is a lack of close friendships where we work and play together.

to be fair, all of the child sex abuse scandals involving priests hasn't exactly helped the Catholic cause over the last 20-25 years

Sad part is a lot of young people gravitate toward materialism and leave the Church when they hear about sex scandaled involving priests. They don't know the Catechism of God's infinite love and mercy. I had a profound conversion experience 16 years ago where God intervened through our Blessed Mother to save my marriage. Having led a life of promiscuity with frequent visits to strip clubs and red districts, I can testify to God's love and mercy to bring back a prodigal son to life. I love the saying, "Every saint has a sinful past, and every sinner has a future. Fix our faith in Christ on the Holy Cross, not scandalous priests or bishops. They come and go.

No, it's been terrible and sad. We keep our eyes on Jesus Christ and know that He will deal with the problems of His priests. The sins against children permeate every institution, including non-Catholic churches and public schools. Our nation must repent and turn to God, or we could be Old Testament toast very quickly.

Listened to the entire interview as I squirmed at the ongoing conversation. The good(dumbing down) and the beautiful( sttripping the churches into simplicity,) are two major hallmarks of Vatican II. The reason young people are flocking to the Latin Mass today is because it has the good and the beauty. You should ask Bidhop Barron about Latin Mass and why the Pope is out to destroy it. The Pope to the Latin Mass is like Biden to America.

The Church IS the Christian community! The problem with most Catholics is they think attending the Mass is the beginning and end of their faith. It is OUR job, not the Bishop’s or the Priests’ to make that community vibrant. WE are the people of God, WE must live the faith actively. We do that by not running out after communion, but rather by engaging in the parish community, by staying for coffee and donuts after Mass and engaging with our Christian family, by joining the Knights of Columbus, attending bible studies and adult faith formation classes, by being there at parish retreats and helping out at charity events like pancake breakfasts, and the food pantry and recycling drives. That is what the Church is for, it is a place for Christians to associate with and help other Christians. We need to stop blaming priests and bishops and start asking ourselves whether or not WE are living our baptismal promises and activating the gifts of the spirit given us in Confirmation. If WE are not living like profits, priest’s and kings it’s our own fault. We’ve got the resources, we just don’t have the will.

In my parish Church most of the attendees are sloppily dressed elderly folks, and the music is party music. However, once I attended a TLM mass and the Church was full of well-dressed people of all ages. And the music was celestial sounding. Unfortunately, the TLM Church is 3 hours away.

How do you appeal to young adults and teens? You can first start by not judging by appearances. I notice far too often that conservative channels love to make fun of ANYONE with colored hair, piercings, or tattoos. Especially if it's a woman with blue hair. You love to assume that person is uber liberal with no morals. What do you think this does to people? You need to stop doing this. Get to know people for who they are and what their character is. You cannot tell what's someone thinks or feels by their appearance. My own mother loves colored hair, she is not liberal. Quit judging people.

More than a decade ago, Bishop Barron (not a Bishop at the time) was instrumental in my conversion from Protestism to Catholism . Since becoming a Bishop, unfortunately, he has lost me. It is hard to find a more distictive cave-in to the hierarchechal deformation of the Catholic Church. And I'm very sad about it.

Megan, I knew I liked listening to you for some reason. I believe you are a truth seeker. The question you raised about " who are these men who I am disclosing all of this personal information to Why am I required to go to a man, rather than straight to God? " Those are the roots of the questions which the early Protestants asked. You may be led to delve into this more deeply. Samuele Bacchiocchi book "Sabbath to Sunday" ; he was a Catholic priest and wrote the book as a result of his research . It covers much more than Sabbath, and addresses many of the concerns you have raised

We are in the great spiritual battle of our time. The Navy wives wanted to read the Christmas story at the library in Navy town Coronado, CA, but got stonewalled. At the same time, other LGBTQ-friendly groups had no problems reading LGBTQ books to children with pornographic themes. As an educator in public in CA, I am told it is mandatory to teach our children the woke agenda with gender idealogy while talking about marriage and family values established by God is being canceled. Glad to know the USCCB has voted to make the sanctity of life a preeminent issue of our time. No authentic Catholics with an informed conscience can vote for Biden, who just made our Lord Resurrection a Transgender Day. Christ is risen. He is King forever, not the kings of this world. They come and go. Viva Cristo Rey.

The sexual abuse crisis was a major blow to The Church and is responsible for a large percentage of those people who no longer consider themselves Catholic and who no longer attend Mass. Unfortunately this is not something that can be quickly "fixed." It will take decades for the bad karma that The Church accumulated to wear away. There are other causes too: political bishops, insipid modern liturgy, atrocious music. It will be a long road back.

@niemi5858

The problem most young people have with religion is about the same as they have with politics which is the inherent hypocrisy in both. Everyone has been prone to hypocrisy at one point or another. It’s virtually impossible to live up entirely to one’s own moral code, as we are all humans that make mistakes. However, when is the last time you ever heard a politician or member of the clergy admit to it? There tends to be a strong cognitive dissonance between the way we judge our loved ones and the way we judge others who act in the same way. It is typically caused by an inflated sense of ego and self-righteousness, coupled with an inability to be humble. At the root of hypocrisy is a strong desire to be loved and accepted. The fear of humility is perhaps the most salient point.
