Do you think releasing violent criminals early puts the public at risk? It can't be good for the public, can it? Releasing people convicted of violent acts endangers our communities. Only 2% of violent crimes result in a conviction, and this policy further emboldens offenders.
We're seeing a breakdown of the criminal justice system, legitimising certain criminal acts due to pressure. The term "petty crime" has allowed police to turn a blind eye, encouraging more people into criminality. Removing the threat of retribution makes criminal activity less risky, increasing crime rates.
Knife crime, drug use, and the proliferation of cash businesses like barbershops are symptoms of a failing system. It's time to address the issue head-on by building more jails and ensuring justice is served. Ben, as a Reform member and donor, I am disturbed at the organisation of Reform. You need to be appointed in charge of the democratisation of Reform UK and the construction of a branch structure. I am also concerned at someone with a Muslim world and religious view being parachuted in from nowhere on a chequebook. Reform need to get their act together or I will not be renewing. Reform also need to reconcile with the new movement rallying in London on 27th July. You need to be seen there and talk on your own behalf.
