'Woke' bosses of a building society have axed Robin Hood from their logo because they feel the hero outlaw does not reflect the firm’s “financial diversity.”
The company stated on Twitter: "We’re excited to introduce our new brand look, reflecting our commitment to inclusivity, progress and community. For 175+ years, we’ve supported unique financial journeys and now we’re evolving to better meet your needs. Welcome to a different kind of society."

The old logo did look a bit dated. But they could have just put an arrowhead on the capital letter "N" for example. No need to ditch Robin Hood, their USP, entirely. Amateurs! Robin Hood did not come from Nottinghamshire. There is evidence that he came from Wakefield and did his outlawing in Barnesdale Forest. In fact there are more references to Robin Hood in Yorkshire, than there are in Nottinghamshire. Still a stupid decision by this building society though.
