Annette, Nightwish's 2nd singer with her new band and the former lead guitarist, Jani from a band you guys love, Sonata Arctica!! She sounds great here and this is the perfect situation for her. A new band not a lot of grinding tours and she and the guitarist are the center pieces of the songs. Annette can really sings but the Nightwish songs written for Tarja and those long grinding tours were more than she can handle. At 50 she looks healthy and happy here so great to see, this band will do well.

Yep i couldn't understand it, the band chose her and she did her best for Nightwish. I just don't get the hate. She has something the other two Nightwish singers don't have and that's personality and energy that came through even live and I've seen the band with all three and will always love the Anette era she was great!

Totally agree. I liked Annette in NW, but I love her here. She's a great singer and has a saucy attitude that I find endearing. I'm glad she landed on her feet and is still putting out great music.

Good song. The Dark Element have really 2 great albums under their belt sofar. Annette Olzon is a great singer. Now teamed up with Jani she found a new home in the music world.

Anette Olzon was the second singer of Nightwish. If you wanted to check out a song with her singing my favourite is Escapist, and of course Eva is beautiful. Slow Love Slow is also a really great song, kind of jazzy. She is also working on her own solo stuff now, I'm excited to see how it sounds!

I love Annette the two albums she did with nightwish are two of my favourites nightwish albums Floor would be my favourite singer for nightwish I still love Tarja and Annette but I feel like the dark elements suit Annette more and I also love her solo albums there amazing as well

Anette Olzon was the second vocalist of Nightwish, after the departure of Tarja and Floor replaced her during her pregnancy, until she officially took the position. Jani (guitarist) is a former member of Sonata Arctica. He left the band in 2008. 🖤 Amazing Dúo.

Ah. My sweet Annete Olzon. The replacement of queen Tarja in Nightwish . She really shines with The Dark Element. She' s a jewel , and Jani of Sonata Artica see that . Pitty that Nightwish didn't saw that. The riff of the song makes think that Jani close the eye to Tuomas Holopainen , and says '' You fired her , i found her '' The riff is similar to the bonus track '' The Escapist '' , but with descending melodic line , exact the opposite ascending of '' The Escapist '' . If you guys want to see or hear the similarity of the riff , check out the song '' The Escapist ''... With Annete on vocals in Nightwish ! I love that she finally found her place! And shines like gothic queen in Daizy Duke's outfit !

That's Anette. 2nd singer for Nightwish. For certain people thumbing up a certain comment, Jani only ever wrote 1 song for Sonata Arctica. Tommy and Tony were childhood friends and were Tricky Beans before Sonata Arctica. Please do research before writing gossip. Not even Jani likes the gossip certain Sonata Arctica "fans" write.

Maybe I am wrong (sorry if I wrong) but I have to admit that I love My Selene, it's one of my preferred songs of Sonata Arctica, despite who composed this song, I still love it and to me it's bad that only Cain's Offering play this song live, I don't know why Sonata never played (maybe is because have some problems of copyrights or only because they don't want to) but I will love to see they playing some day

@@davijunior3562 not saying it's not a good song. Jani is a genius songwriter both men are. I just want this Sonata Arctica Jani fandom to stop with their negativity. Tony had no choice. They had tour dates booked and Jani had to serve jail time for refusing to serve in the Finnish army. They were just starting out and cancelling a tour wasn't an option. Go to both their IG's there's pics dated last year taken by Kristian who does SA tour pics and videos of Jani, Tommy and Tony hugging each other. Those 3 men love each other like brothers. The hate is not needed and ridiculous.

@MatthewLeeHanson To each one's own. My main problem with Nightwish isn't their singers, even when I kinda prefer Tarja over Floor. My main problem with Nightwish is that the two albums they did with Floor as singer are, in my opinion, the two worst in their complete discocraphy. Which still means they are pretty good, they are just nothing special compared to what metal has to offer otherwise. It's not Floor's fault, though.
