When forgotten land was announced I was like “oh Elfilin is definitely gonna be the final boss” I guess I was… kind of right?

A very unspoken about detail in Chaos Elfilis' defeat is the beasts' souls squirming around before finally dissolving into the air. That means that those beasts have been experiencing a long and grueling death. From the moment of getting consumed by Fecto Forgo, to Elfilis, to Soul Forgo, to Morpho Knight, all the way to the very final battle. All these souls could do is await their inevitable end. I felt truly sad when I saw that those animal souls were still in there, at least Leongar was saved.
@magusnate2 күн бұрын
That's very true, when you put it that way! Elfilis was willing to do whatever it took to make himself powerful again. Really, Leon only survived because he was chosen as a vessel for his revival. Well, that and Kirby and Elfilin finding the missing pieces of his soul. Easily one of, if not, the cruelest villains we've had in the franchise so far.

Suddenly, the fact that he was tortured, experimented on, and exploited as a tourist attraction by the scientists who captured and imprisoned him is well-deserved.

Ive always heard that Dark Mind is simultaneously the Mirror counterpart of Zero *and* Nightmare

Me to.

He can’t be the mirror of two being tho. But Dark matter (swordman) is possible in that case, since shadow kirby is shy, unable to protect his own world, Dark MK a unhonorable Knight. So Dark mind being the opposite of a Swordfighter who uses well, a sword and becomes a dark Mage in the mirror world.

I think you are wrong at this point 5:16 dark mind is a dark matter and it is confirmed First in team/super kirby clash king D mind use moves from dark matter Dedede from Dreamland 3 Void final phase also use all movement of dark matters and also he use dark mind moves creating mirror and spin it around himself void also can use moves from those who fall under the control dark matter like (drawcia)

To be fair, plenty of the final bosses in Kirby games reference moves of other final bosses without any confirmed connections. Example: Soul of Sectonia and Soul Elfilis use the same fire move in their fights. Is there a confirmed connection between the two? No. Dark Nebula and Dark Mind shoot stars as their basic attacks. Is there a confirmed connection? No. And it's even moreso with Dark Nebula because most official info don't even confirm if it's related to the Dark Matter race. Also, I never said that Dark Mind wasn't connected to Dark Matter, just that it's possibly connected, which is... pretty much not too different from saying that it is. I said what I said because some of the fans can go a little overboard when talking about the lore, whether it's officially confirmed info or not. Not all of them, of course! But I've seen it happen before. Probably not a great idea, but... better safe than sorry, you know?

@@magusnate Well after reading your comment and some little research Yes i agree with you But how dark nebula not confirmed it isn't related to the dark matter race and dark nebula Japanese name is literally (dark zero) and kirby 20th anniversary book they put it's artwork in the dark matter page
@magusnate3 күн бұрын
From what I've looked up, the 20th Anniversary Kirby of the Stars Dream Land Encyclopedia states that Dark Nebula's connection to the Dark Matter group is unclear. Even if it's Japanese name is Dark Zero.

5:18 Kumazaki confirmed that Dark Mind is just the result of evil minds gathering within the Dimension Mirror, so him being related to Zero wouldn't make much sense. 20:32 Unlikely that Void is actually the source of Kirby or Dark Matter. His resemblance to Kirby was confirmed to be due to the latter's influence, and his Dark Matter face apparently came from the influence of the dark hearts. also the dark clouds in kirby 64 are unconfirmed to be related to dark matter but that's stupid so no one cares
@magusnate2 күн бұрын
Ah, did he confirm that with Dark Mind? I'd love to know the source, if that's okay! And with Void... that's why I said "possibly". Since everyone's got their own opinions on the topic. I wanted to try to keep things as fair as possible by stating it that way.

Hey EssayistNate I loved your Kieran and Carmine essays so since Kirby is one of my favorite video game franchises of all time (My favorite VG franchise of all time and even my favorite series of all time is Yume Nikki.) Might as well explain why I enjoyed the Kirby villains is that they're Vile Villains that betray the innocencr of the story. Aka Vile Villain Sacchrine Show one of my favorite tropes. A trope where a evil villain that betrays the genre. They changed the vibe and tone into a serious story everyone must take seriously. They aren't a Saturday Morning Villain they're eldritch monsters that need to be stopped. Like for example The Lich from Adventure Time, The Nowhere King from Centaurworld, Bill Cipher from Gravity Falls or Belos from The Owl House. I enjoyed how the villains of Kirby are taken seriously and besides Yinyarn, The Paint Boss I cannot remember from that WII U game, Darouch and The Squeeks, Early Dedede before he became good, and etcetera they are terrifying. The biggest horror I actually felt fearful for is Zero and The Dark Matter. They are the perfect antithesis of Kirby's optimism they are nihilism, apathy, and loneliness carnate. There are also villains who are vile like Star Dream Kirby's equivalent of AM from IHNMAIMS, Marx's treachery and insanity or Fecto Elfilis the equivalent to the end of the universe that was the closest to a pure evil Kirby Villain. But I love tragic villains too and Kirby did it well. When they are lost they serve as tragedies that represent the darkness in Kirby. Marx in Return to Dreamland, Taranza and Sectonia in Triple Deluxe, Haltman and Susie in Planet Robobot, the Mage sisters and Hyness even Void in Star Alliee, and the animals Forgotten Land suffered from tragedies they cannot return to. And they are foils to Kirby's kindness and perseverance. They served as what Kirby is against ad a franchise. Loneliness, lost, nothingness, and hopelessness. But Kirby is the opposite. He may be naive but he is a friendly, loyal and helpful friend. He may be implied to be born of a Dark Matter and part of Void. But he's always your friend. Someone who will enjoy life to the fullest while still being a hero. That is why we love the villains in Kirby.

Yknow, I love Squeak Squad and think it's amazing, but I believe that it's lack of depth and overall easiness could be explained by it's production being held by the bankrupt Flagship. They were losing their money and they had to make a new game on (probably) some tight schedule, so they pumped out this game with little depth to the story, almost annoying repetitiveness, and lackluster final boss. I'm not saying that there were some thought into making this game, it's beautiful in some aspects and could've had amazing lore, but most ideas were poorly executed by a failing company grasping at straws to save itself. I think this game would do wonderfully with a remake with our current director and not just handing it off to someone else. And maybe if we're still going with a 3d perspective, it would go beautifully with the stealing treasure idea. And maybe with Kumazaki at the helm, we could go into more depth to the story and the villains! Like, maybe if he wasn't just chasing them for cake, he thought that Dedede's treasure chest was going to be a gift for someone else, and wanted to get it back! Idk tho, with the (probably) upcoming Robobot remake, it may take a while, or not at all.

It's just very average with it being based off of the gba games for some reason. The new gimmicks like combining abilities to make ice/spark/fire swords and bombs is unlocked very late in the game. Cool concept but it could've made been executed miles better.

two things i wanted to say about the villains i think Fecto Effilis has somewhat of a persecution complex as given its power was not entirely contained by the containment chamber as evidenced by it controlling the beast pack and the inhabits fleeing its more than likely it could have turned off the speakers that it used to learn English and get traumatized if it wanted to but it couldn't as then without Effilin in its head to comfort it they would have to face the overwhelming inexcusability of their actions thus far as such as much as it hates the speakers and its cell it needs them to feel like a victim secondly i dont think Star Dream was corrupted by Haltman i think its more likely they corrupted eachother as Haltman likely was working off incomplete Nova blueprints and didn't understand it meaning from the start something wouldn't have been right leading to it becoming self aware which then led to it stealing Haltmans memories as means of self preservation as it believed if it granted Haltmans wish the first time and brough Susie back he wouldn't have a use for it anymore and would destroy it and this would continue until Star Dream had become so corrupted by Haltmans memories and other data that all it could think about was prosperity
@magusnate3 күн бұрын
I can see what you mean with Haltmann and Star Dream! It does kinda work both ways, with the both of them corrupting each other.
