I've watched the two part animated movie based on this and I gotta say, Christopher Drake's score for this movie is absolutely chilling. It really makes me wish WB gave Drake a chance to compose music for their live-action movies. His work in Arkham Origins, Injustice and the Justice League animated movies (Doom and Crisis on Two Earths) is simply amazing. If only WB gave him a chance :/

I remember reading this for the first time when a local comic shop donated it for a Batman giveaway at a local theatre. I had never heard of the old story but it was great. It hooked me into reading more such as the Long Halloween.

The reason Bruce and Dick Grayson wasn’t talking is because Bruce and Barbra slept together and Dick found out. The writers should have NEVER had Bruce sleep with Barbra. Come on he seen her since she was a little girl with Commissioner Gordon even when she dated Dick. As a Batman fan/stan , this messed me up mentally smh.

I always saw this as an example as to how ineffective Batman really is. If Batman was really effective, he would've made a Gotham that doesn't need a Batman. All he really did was teach the people of Gotham to put their faith into one person.
