Funnily enough, Kaminoans look a lot like our "grey aliens" adn our alien culture is heavily dominated by abduction stories, the kaminoans could have abducted unfortunate creatures to experiment on them in the past. Their architecure also looks suspiscously like saucers.

I feel the dart was an idea that Jango had. Think about it, he had scientific knowledge especially regarding creatures with very toxic mannerisms. The bugs he had Zam use to kill Padmé, he clearly knew how deadly they were. On top of that he told Zam to be very careful. Why would a Bounty Hunter, especially one of Jango’s caliber be concerned enough to heed such caution only to kill her later. I think he had a familiarity with poisons and when acquiring access to those Darts he had the Kaminoans help him understand how to insert the many varieties of poisons into the darts and then accommodate the darts into his weaponry. With his intellectual curiosity, I think this was why the Kaminoans considered him as their perfect specimen.

It makes sense that the Kaminoans would kidnap and experiment on other species. They always seemed to resemble the "Greys" which are so prevalent in alien abduction narratives. Maybe the Asogians aren't the only Spielberg aliens to show up in Star Wars?

I think cloning is no secret. It may not be well-known, but not a secret. The secret only the Sith knew was essence transfer. It would be more likely they used clones or hired another species to build Tapoca City, Kamino, being a superior race and all...
@nathanneil51383 жыл бұрын
Your right about Tipoca City’s construction from a certain point of view according to a sourcebook it was actually said to be inspired by the shape of Wookiee architecture on Kashyyk as well as elements of Alderaanian architecture. Also the resources used to build Tipoca and other Kaminoan cities were imported from other worlds and the cities were built by construction droids

As a Stargate fan the first thing my mind went to was the Asgard from stargate, they were about the most advanced race we ran into that didnt want to kill us but there race was on the verge of extinction due to thousands of years of cloning there bodies and transferring consciousness to them and there genetic template being to degraded (copy of a copy problem). Maybe thats similar to what the Kaminoens were dealing with.

Something tells me they learned to clone just to make a bunch of builders to rebuild their planet. Then they used the cloning capabilities to make money. I remember someone in the book Catalyst suggested giving DNA to the Kaminoans so they design and make organisms that could work in space endlessly and build the Death Star. Why specifically say that? Have Kaminoans done this before? I think so.

Doesn't really have anything to do with this video but for the next Q&A: Will we see Qui'ra in the book of Boba Fett? Now that we know she survived into the originals(which honestly surprised me) and she seems to have taken control of Crimson Dawn after Dryden's death and Maul's fall as a crime lord could she fit into the story of tBoBF ? If she appears could we also see Alden Ehrenreich reprise his role as Han Solo since we've seen Luke in the Mandalorian ?

Well, it probably took centuries if not millenia to get good at cloning other species, plus we never see any young Kaminoans in canon (or Legends, but I could be mistaken), so it makes sense that they'd start with their own species first. They'd know exactly what the resulting clones should look and act like, and be able to quickly identify problem areas. On a galactic scale, there have to be thousands of species on the brink of extinction for various reasons, and they would make for willing customers. Since we've no idea how long they've been at it, it could go back as far as the Rakata; in their waning days they'd be quite desperate for a solution. Given their skill at producing soldiers, it would make a ton of sense for the Kaminoans not to centralize their operations, but rather have facilities spread far and wide in nondescript locales. There's no way the Clone Wars was the first time they'd come under attack. Also, keeping their more experimental and potentially dangerous-to-them projects off world makes sense too. Also, nosy prospective clients would see nothing on Kamino to indicate the best cloners around had failed. Equally useful if they were experimenting on other species without their knowledge. The depths of just how shady the Kaminoans were will likely remain a mystery, although I think it would be a fun novel or graphic novel, especially if it goes back to old or pre-republic days. Colonization before the hyperspace lanes were created and mapped would have taken longer than most species lived at light speed. Being able to transfer yourself to a clone body would get around that nicely.

Definitely think they were exploring a darker side of Kaminoan cloning, otherwise the concept art wouldn't be so...deformed. Making them the Star Wars equivalent of Greys would be amazing.

If you have seen Stargate Sg-1 and remind yourself of the Asgard technology, you might see some comparisons with the Keminoans. The Asgards cloned themselves to the degree they lost all type of gender and was a dying race. The Kaminoans maybe are in a similar state?
@Kip4503 жыл бұрын
How much darker could the Kaminoans be than actually are? A batch of clone cadets with less than 20/20 vision disappeared in the dead of night, never to be heard from again; kidnapping travelers just seems par for the course for them.

Something that occurs to me that the ruins of an abandoned Kaminoan city would be a great place for some of the less scrupulous (like pirates or mercenaries or less monied people (like people from particularly hardscrabble planets) or heck, why not a population of a variety of people like we saw on The Colossus in Star Wars Resistance.

I think this analysis deserves more attention. I hope this leads to a potential plot development in Season 2 of The Bad Batch. It may be theoretical now but I really hope someone either from Lucasfilm or someone with personal ties to Filoni stumbles upon this video. This is not the end of the Kaminoans and I think we are looking at a super low key clue considering that the Imperial Scientists have made a subtle appearance in The Bad Batch.
