Wow, this is SO tame. Even with the last one 4Chan being genuinely bad, there's a lotta other dirty laundry. But, I mean, Reddit has a similiar degree of mega-f***ed up stuff on it. With any platform it's gonna host some bad stuff, and 4chan is just that: another platform. It's certainly more obvious with it's degeneracy but it also doesn't 'hide' it in a Discord server or random IRC. And there's an amazing history of really cool collaberations and funny stuff too. Overall, 4chan is really not that bad. It's only as bad as it's users, and for the benefit of (partial) anonymity it's 'worthwhile' in my opinion. Not like it's hard to load up Tor and post on R\babyfur or whatever stuffs polluting Reddit these days.

I've been on 4chan for ten years and this is the first time I've heard of a dislike button being on that site. If you mean Sage, that was disabled after Moot sold the site and it transitioned to the owner of 2chan, who then made it a rule that calling for Saging a thread is now a bannable offense. So passively disliking things is now no longer an option you have on the site at all compared to other social media. Also I find it funny how you mention discrimination. While I totally get why people see it that way, I won't argue against how site culture allows for slurs to be popped like skittles, in my experience its the single most inclusive site on the internet (barring small, private discord servers). Everyone assumes you're autistic, queer, and a weeaboo right out of the gate and therefor everyone is forced to be on equal standing with each other. Especially if you don't opt into having an identifier. Because while you have the option to name yourself, doing so is a social faux pas unless you're doing something that necessitates being identifiable (such as hosting a Q&A or sharing a creative project). Also, this video pretty much mostly applies to /b/, plus technically /v/ and /pol/ (though nothing from them is directly shared), from what I can tell. People are relatively normal on every other board. Hell, some boards (such as /his/, /sci/, and /tg/) actively discourage this kind of behavior, since it harms the flow of conversation. In fact, most blue boards are actually more civil than what I see of Reddit, Facebook, and _especially_ Twitter. So the dark side of 4chan is just the trifecta of /b/, /v/, and /pol/, with most other boards just being the average modern social media experience. At least in my experience.

I dont agree that 4chan is entirely bad. I use it 1-2 times a week, mostly /bant/, /mu/, /vg/ and /int/. Not everything on it is horrible, in fact, i find it a more enjoyable experience than instagram, twitter or reddit could ever provide. There is no algorythm, no like-dislike system, every oppinion is presesnted equally, no matter how bad the oppinion is. To quote some dude on /bant/ : „Life operates in the gray, unlike oppinions on the internet.“
