Hero archetypes in US culture has grown large for many. Used to have simple icons, music leaders, religious, political leaders, family systems, etc. Now rise of Social Media, so much information out there, way of simplicity has gotten over extended and far too many groups not coming together at table. How to change system at scale? Begins at education. Lots of questions for upcoming generation.

The question becomes why don’t people choose to act with more morals? The power of choice, the thing that distinguishes humans from the rest of the animals. The power to create heaven or the power to create hell. Part of it has to do with being betrayed in the past, sort of act or get acted upon mentality. Part of it is because there weren’t any good role models to look towards (including themselves) and so they assume EVERYONE must act selfishly/ inconsiderately. But mostly because #1. It’s a complex question to ask, so they don’t know how. (What is good? Good makes things better however small or large the effect may be and bad makes things worse however small or large the effect may be). You have to look at the complete picture. To objectively view a situation in third person zooming out and looking at the effects, zooming in and its effects, looking at the situation from various angles/ perspectives to make a final determination of whether or not something was overall good or bad. And to the degree to which it was. Could have been heavenly or evil & wicked. Could have been slightly bad but overall good, could have been slightly good but overall bad, could have little to no effect, could be fully good or fully bad. And #2. It's a difficult thing to be good. It’s difficult to put yourself under scrutiny and analyze yourself, your thoughts, your actions. This concept of self reflection, of pointing a mirror inward towards yourself. What did I do wrong? How could I have acted better? Why did I act in that way? Why did I think in that way? Was this caused by me being willfully ignorant of my flaws? Did I have a feeling of uneasiness before, during, and after the act I did? Why did I have that feeling? Why did I still act in that way? And being deadly honest with yourself, as well as seeking feedback. It’s so much easier to lie to yourself and to not sort yourself out, to blame others for everything wrong. To ignore your conscience. There’s no effort needed in doing that.

I think is true, and to add to it, is like when you idolize someone and then meet them and then there’s some sort of “things” the idol says or do that you just don’t like them anymore or “offends” yourself. Just because the division social media brought exposing everyday’s pple reaction. That’s why Michael Jordan doesn’t do any interviews anymore or reactions to the daily news, or gossiping.

Talk in depth about how leadership is not dead. Leadership has been demonized and “we” need to bring it back. It’s still everywhere but most have learned to ignore leadership. It’s easier to ignore, so they think. No accountability.

Strength, honor, loyalty. Heroic idealism is what you want. No one is “perfect” but it’s not about achieving perfection it’s about the loyalty to the highest ideal. What is the highest ideal? Start with the three at the beginning of this comment.

Would be good to hear you or someone speak about promoting a product that you don’t physically have. I have a clothing brand and the cost to make it can be expensive compared to how much I would like the prices to sell for. The model is basically drop shipping for a sports/athletic wear brand. Every Easter Christians and others are reminded of how flawed we humans can be. Personally I believe Love is the answer (1Cor13:4-8) for most. Still flawed, forgiveness is a beautiful gift - it helps love to keep bouncing back. but not to be abused. Christ is my consistent Hero -not just for religious or traditional reasons. Tai, I love your deep thinking and reasoning - I agree conclusions must be drawn very carefully.. Note that many very high IQ historical figures were also philosophers and theologians.🤔 I would love to hear your insight on trust when building your tribe. Thanks for the movie tip "One Love"💖🙏🏾

I was thinking about something similar yesterday... about morality. if no heroes can't resist scrutiny but are still worthy of admiration, should we really try to be so virtuous that in the end we achieve nothing? is it okay to be exploitative if it means you'll accomplish great things?
