The Holy Bible is my favorite book and as a child Dune was my second. I actually met the lead Actor who played in the original. Whats extremely telling is the original actor Kyle Mclaughlin was filming Twin Peaks on my city block. We worked on the set before we realized that show was very Satanic. It was very disappointing. God is Sovereign. 🙌

I will admit I have watched both films, the second film 3 times. Both times I became aware of the witchcraft. The second film goes DEEP into it, so much so that I questioned why I was watching it. I felt deeply ashamed at how excited I was for seeing a film and wanting to read a book series about witchcraft. I need to fast and pray for God's correction!

Through the character Chani, the film makes quite obvious that Paul is no savior. He's a manufactured "chosen one" using a made up prophecy to manipulate the fremen for his own interests.

He is not exactly a bad guy either at this point in the story. He is just hyped up by everyone around him as a messiah. Everything goes just terrible, as we will see in the next movie. But he does fit the mold of an anti Christ in many ways.

Can we also talk about the pyramids and zigarats spread throughout the movie? Specifically the chess board that the Emperor and his daughter are using near the beginning of the film has pyramid chess pieces, and the zigarat that the Emperor uses as his home base on Arrakis. Not a complete pyramid btw but the incomplete pyramid of the Freemasonic order and the structure description that fits the Tower of Babel- a zigarat. Denis' movies are definitely occult and I would recommend a deeper dive on him as a filmmaker.

I was going to re-read it about six years ago when God placed a stop on my desire..as I prayed God showed me how new age and demonic this book series is and it is not something a Christin should be reading. Matthew 10:16 says “Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.” Watching Dune and seeing the direct connection to its story and the rise of Anti-Christ as depicted in the Bible’s book of Revelation and the book of Daniel for me is an affirmation of the truth of the Bible and God’s word and a sign that we are indeed in the end times. Pretty much everything today is Satanic to a greater or lesser degree, however you can tell the unsaved vs. the saved by how they perceive it, as most unsaved do not recognize how blatantly Satan is manipulating our media and entertainment. In order to be ‘as wise as serpents’ we need to see and comprehend how Satan is working, while simultaneously remaining innocent, and this requires the ability to identify and to discern his deceptions and manipulations in modern day life. In Dune, the Satanic metaphors are very overt in that the Benegeserit are witches, Paul’s mother is a witch who trains him in the ‘weirding way’ which is witchcraft and the occult, and ‘the water of life’ which is a Satanic metaphor for demonic possession through drugs, comes only through drinking the piss of a worm, which we know from other fictional narratives like Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, is a pseudonym for the dragon who is Satan. Worm = Dragon = Satan. The ‘Fremen’ are a metaphorical representation of the Arabic Islamic peoples of the Middle East, and ‘Maui Dib’, which is Paul’s given Fremen name, is a phonetical pseudonym of ‘Mahdi’ which the Islamic messiah and the Anti-Christ. The book of Dune covers the rise of Anti-Christ right up to the return of Jesus Christ, who defeats both him and the ‘worm’ aka Satan at the battle of Armageddon.

The phoenix sigil of the Atreides house is an occultist symbol that points to the great dragon, so from there on I was kind of rolling my eyes. I do think its a story that crosses the Lawrence of Arabia uprisings against the Ottomans in WW1 with the coming of the Islamic messiah. Even if the film does show several worrying points, it did make me reflect more on the return of our Messiah, and how it would be to witness our Lord in the flesh coming to finally bring justice to the world. God does bring good out of evil.

The rabbit trail of Carl Yung gets deeper and deeper. . . The evil in these movies was even more powerful than the new Hell Boy movie from 2018 (or some time there) - when I saw the demons come up from the Hell Boy movie, I was very scared. When I watched these Dune movies, I cried because of the greater power of the evil one. I was very surprised to see the rating for PG-13, there is too much in this movie to justify a pg-13 rating.

Good catch. I also noticed (especially in Part 1) the Nimrod imagery was constant. Nimrod "the hunter." He is often portrayed in the world as "the bull." And we jeep seeing the bull, and the Matador (bull fighter, bull slayer, great hunter) throughout part one. Nimrod probably the first major Antichrist type. And ofcourse Paul and his father in the movie are his descendants 🤔

Superb Biblical review of the movies my brothers in Christ. I saw Dune 2 twice and I felt that the black and white visual spectrum on Giedi Prime during the arena fight was a type of hell itself as hell will not have the same look and feel of earth to say the least! The way you explain the world being in an altered state of mind (aka the Spice) is brilliant and true. I felt the Bene Gesserit was a type of real world evil Vatican style control of many nations and leaders of today. Brothers, the way you describe the attributes of Paul and the coming Antichrist are amazing. I do pray for the cast and crew to be born again and I will be sure to share your views of the movie with others. @@aleckelly374 I did research on the creator of dune. I can’t remember if this video said it or not but he was extremely against God. You should read the actual book. I couldn’t even finish it because it was extremely disgusting. There is a lot of inappropriate scenes which they had to take out to make the movie more appropriate. He used drugs as an inspiration for this. They paint religion to be almost like a joke or extremely controlling. It’s easy to point out when you’re Christian and have read the book. I don’t think someone is gonna go to hell for watching it but I’d rather not associate myself with demonic stuff like that.

I watched the 1st one and I regret it, one can discern right off the bat it was demonic when they would speak in these telepathic voices that sounds like demons if you watch someone being delivered from demonization and listen to how they’re voice sounds compared to these characters practicing these divination powers it sounds identical. This is the perennial problem with sci-fi, there is a void in it, and as with the star wars series, occult creeps in or is deified, telekinesis, telepathy, weird super human powers. The central character doesn't look like much, but suddenly when his soul is freed, he becomes very powerful and authoritative in voice and action, almost superhuman in surviving his duel at the end of part 2. There is witchcraft when individuals are controlled. Villeneuve and Hollywood et al will not espouse Christian doctrine, thats obvious.

This is so strange! I watched this video yesterday for the 2nd from a long time before, and as I watched I could clearly see the message behind the story. I thought, this looks like a good representation of how the anti-Christ could be coming into play. I understand that our world is not set the same as in Dune, but the politics behind it could be similar to how it would be played out. A lot of these movies and shows tell the same story, the story of the rise of the Antichrist. The Mummy from 1999 and 2017, they have the key to open the tomb in the bottomless pit, and out off the pit the beast rises. X Men: Apocalypse from 2016 as the character of Apocalypse says in the movie he is also called Ra, the character even claims in the movie that he’s god. The show Messiah from Netflix as the show shows you who the Antichrist will be and where he will come from, the desert. I barely watched the first movie and was confused as to what I was watching. Boring too lol. And yeah, very dark theme that wasn't settling with me. I'm a part-time writer looking to bring out my novels that shine light on the Kingdom of God and I tell you, it hasn't been easy without using drugs and dark inspirations to write content. To write without heavy influence isn't an easy task. Makes me wonder about writers like JK Rawlings and Stephen King and what they really did to release their dark content that has also been made into movies over the years. The scriptures say that the heart of man is deceitful and dark indeed.

I’m a Christian and a Fan of the Dune books , listen! this is a science fiction novel set 10,000years in the future and not meant to be taken seriously and Frank Herbert wrote the book as a warning against following charismatic figures, sure he took from Islamic, Jewish & Christian and other religious sources, but Dune is nothing to do with the Occult at all…. and no Paul Atredies is not the Antichrist he is a fictional character Christians, need stop seeing the Devil everywhere don’t give the Devil that much credit

There is a whole genre of Christian movies and our family watches them and they might not have the same budget as Hollywood but you really get engrossed in them after watching for 10-15 minutes. I think a lot of them are available on like Amazon streaming and KZbin obviously just type Christian movies for free

I am a new believer of just a few years now after dabbling in new age and other things I should not have….. In going to see this movie, I wasn’t even sure what the story was about. I was absolutely blown away at the religious undertones, …the demonic possession,…the antichrist vibes…the Muslim reference,… mentioning of the Jinn, …and the main character even makes a comment of following the “narrow path” in the movie. Which stood out to me like a neon sign. There was a couple of times that I privately to myself, ended up rebuking in Jesus name. My mind was reeling when I got out of the theater. It was very intense for me. And then I was reminded of the movie Black Adam of the marvel movies. It definitely had the same antichrist undertones. 😧

I never read the Dune books or saw the movie until a few weeks ago. When the main character went to the planet and the people were calling him the mahdi, my ears perked up and I really started watching for more antichrist parallels

It is darker. Paul is a false hero. Herbert demonstrates what religious people find hard to admit, religious violence is always driven by politics. Religions are made up by men who mostly want power or by close relatives who want the power the religion prophets created gave them. In Dune there is no god, man is the measure of all thing. God if he exists has nothing in common with what religions tell us about him and certainly not with what religions tell us to do.

Thanks for the video I was hoping I could find Christian commentaries. I watched Dune 2 with my sister at the cinemas today. We both went with friends and had not watched Part 1 or read the novels. We both felt the Holy Spirit nudging us whilst watching. It had a demonic feel to it and the feeling was very unsettling.

I really disliked the religious undertones of this movie. From my understanding, the movie was implying that Christianity is fake and was created to manipulate and control the population. That is terrible! The parallels this movie tried to implement with the gospel was blasphemous. I should’ve known better. I let myself be swayed by the positive reviews. It’s been a year since I went to the movies with my wife and I did not enjoy it at all. I can’t stand Hollywood. At least my wife and I had dinner together afterwards.

Growing up, I made a lot of mistakes because I just didn’t know about God or who Jesus was. It means a lot to your son that you are with him. My youngest is in high school and my oldest is in college. I talk to them about God any chance I get. It’s nice when I see them praying before anything they do (I don’t mention it to them but I notice). The bond of a father and son is a blessing to experience. God bless you and your family!
