Thanks for the update, I haven’t been out seriously in quite a while but will be fishing throughout the weekend. Definitely going to throw the frog.

@@picke009 this was a kinda short trip so I didn’t cover as much water as I would’ve liked, but definitely the schools of bait are coming shallow and the bass shouldnt be far behind. There should be feeding fish somewhere so definitely move around until you find em!

Mid lake south has had best bite, frog/topwater has been hit or miss. Most consistent bite has been jig, Texas, dropshot on docks or rock piles.

Definitely can be tough and unless you can bring the whole garage something always gets left home you wish you had. Haha. Way to work!

Any tips for taking the kayak out to clear lake for the first time? Never fished there before

@@druw5105 hm, that’s hard. I’d say look at the lake on satellite imaging and a topographic map to find some areas that match your fishing strengths. If you like grass, tules, shallower water, docks, stick up north. All of the launches up there have fishy spots around them. If you prefer rock, better access to deep water, cleaner water (usually) then go down south or mid lake. Right now the fish are gonna start following the bait into the pockets and feeding up. Covering water is key right now, until you run into a good area with baitfish and bass
