I fished tournaments for 15 years here in No. Cal. (won a Basscat boat in 2000 at Clearlake) and I'm glad to see the days of our egos standing at the weigh tanks, stressing the fish, are becoming a thing of the past. Using a uniform measuring board and photos, is a unique way to score a bass tournament while protecting the fishery. Good job guys..

So this was a bit of a deja-vu, but I was scrolling through one of my external hard drives, trying to pick out a movie or show to put on while I start cleaning the house a bit. Everything was a turn off and just discouraged me. I was scrolling, and scrolling, and scrolling, and got the idea that maybe, just maaaaaaaaybe, Greg or NDYakAngler would have a new upload. I checked my phone and here it was. Perfect way to start this off.

Great video! This is only the 2nd fishing video I have ever watched. I enjoyed watching it and learned a ton! Thanks for covering my friend, Dean, and the tournament. My daughter also has food allergies and this is a great cause.. So cool. I loved learning about how you used the technology, seeing what types of gear you used, and what it was like to catch fish that way and measure them for the tournament.

Shine glide has a place in my heart forever it started my insane addiction for swimbaits. It can catch numbers and biggs has its flaws tho compared to a 200$ Bait the swim is pretty close tho never thought i would be a guy to drop money on a bait but man that shine glide has opened my eyes to targeting bigger fish i now own way to many expensive baits but they all get bit when the cheaper ones dont! keep throwing that glide around grass in the summer you will be surprised! keep up the killer content Greg!
@xmarkedx3 жыл бұрын
Lol same but my gateway drug was the ol s waiver....I never imagined I would be dumb enough to throw 150 dollar chad shads now 🤦♂️
@stoneysdead6893 жыл бұрын
Dome of the inexpensive ones are good baits imo- the shine glide, the arashi glide, the sneaky pete or pistol pete, the gantarel, and the s-waver 168 and 200- all good baits imo. Now the big wide gliding open water baits I agree- you just about have to spend some money here, but I don't fish this style. I fish smaller cover glides like the ones I listed- tighter action but more responsive.

Another great tournament video! Just a bit of constructive criticism but I actually prefer the old style tournament total inches caught format - the one in the corner when you get an upgrade or cull. Wish you would of thrown that glide a few times in your cranking stretch when they were chewing(you may of off video) but I know how hard it is to put a crankbait down when it heats up. That pad you guys stayed at was so sweet BTW..great job thx

Greg, you're such a great angler. I enjoy watching how you can figure out a lake, and change your baits, for the bite that's on. I very much enjoy, my 120 pdl and torqueedo. But those 2 kayaks, i believe are the best of there fleet. Thanks for another great adventure vid you put together..🎣🤟🙏

"I'm a crank baiter" he said. 😂. surprising even to yourself? I love those flat side crank baits this time of year all along those rocky banks. lose a few here and there but makes those bass angry. so looking forward to hitting a few of those tourneys 2022, seems so lonely hitting these lakes in the South Bay looking like im the only kayak out there sometimes. still catching the quality ones though

Greg, I use and catch a lot of fish on the frittside 5 & 7 here in Bama. The hooks that come on those baits are super sharp but I lost a lot of fish on them. I upgraded mine to size 4 triple grips and my catch rate went up tremendously.

Man throwing that glide looked so fun I went and bought one. I already had it in the gizzard shad pattern but I wanted a blue gill pattern so a nabbed another one. For a 20 dollar glide they flat get the job done huh? They're not great for fishing open water flats but if you're targeting something like a dock or some grass- perfect.
