“Often seasoned with salt”. I eat unsalted organic. Anything over indulged on is not good for you. Don’t buy into the hype.

Absolutely, moderation is indeed key when it comes to food choices. Opting for unsalted organic pistachios is a great way to enjoy their nutritional benefits without the added sodium typically found in seasoned varieties. You're absolutely right that excessive consumption of any food may have potential drawbacks. Being mindful of portions and choosing high-quality, organic options, like the unsalted variety you mentioned, can contribute positively to a balanced diet. Thanks for highlighting the importance of moderation and making informed decisions about our food intake!

The best way to eat pistachios is to soak them raw overnight in clean water. Pressure cook them, store in the refrigerator and consume within five days. I always buy 1 kg raw organic pistachios and keep in the refrigerator.

I understand your concern about the potential risks of eating pistachios. It's important to weigh the risks and benefits of any food before making a decision about whether or not to include it in your diet. If you are concerned about the risks of eating pistachios, there are a few things you can do to minimize your exposure to these compounds: - Opt for certified organic and unsalted pistachios. This will help minimize your exposure to pesticides and added salt, potentially reducing the risk of adverse effects. - Consult your healthcare provider to determine whether pistachios align with your dietary needs and health goals. They can assess your individual risk factors and provide personalized recommendations. It's also important to remember that moderation is key. Eating a few pistachios every now and then is unlikely to pose any serious risks. However, eating large quantities on a regular basis could increase your risk of experiencing some of the negative side effects.

I’d rather have some sodium on them than sugar.

It's true that pistachios can offer numerous health benefits when consumed in moderation. They're packed with nutrients like healthy fats, protein, fiber, and essential minerals. However, like many foods, pistachios also come with potential risks and considerations, especially when consumed in excess or in certain forms like roasted and salted. The key is balance and moderation. While pistachios can be a nutritious addition to a balanced diet, it's essential to be aware of potential downsides. By staying informed and practicing moderation, we can enjoy the benefits of pistachios while minimizing potential risks to our health. It's all about finding the right balance that works for you!

Thank you for your feedback! I appreciate you taking the time to comment. Regarding the sodium content, the information shared in the video is based on data from the USDA FoodData Central, which reports that 1 cup (123 grams) of roasted pistachios with salt contains about 526 mg of sodium (source: USDA FoodData Central fdc.nal.usda.gov/fdc-app.html#/food-details/169426/nutrients). The video aimed to highlight that while pistachios are a healthy snack, it's important to be mindful of added salt, especially for those monitoring their sodium intake. If you have any other specific points you'd like to discuss, I'm happy to dive deeper. Thanks again for engaging with the content!
