Congratulations. When I shared to my PhD adviser my doubts about STRING he almost fired me.Unfortunately ( sometime) colors are more important then applicability

Funny how sometimes the developers of a tool are more critical of when to apply it than the users - I'm one of the STRING developers, so I'm allowed to be critical ;-)

@@larsjuhljensen Indeed prof.Jensen but you as STRING developer know better than a common user the weakness of a bioinformatic tool(s). On the other hand bioinformatics use notions like Bayesian statistics or Markov chains, notions who ask - for a truly understanding - a high background in mathematics(Linear Algebra, Calculus, Real Analysis).My opinion - as biologist - is this : we are witnesses of a inflation of bioinformatics tools
