As an addict who’s taken every drug from fentanyl to crystal meth and crack cocaine combined plus a lot more to the crossroads of death I can say all of them are completely devastating and if you’ve quit any drug, even weed you deserve a medal and have a home at NA.

Amazing video.. It’s crazy how many people go through so much traumas from this abusive drugs. Cocaine addiction actually destroyed my life, i suffered severe depression and mental disorder, not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment changed my life for better. I can proudly say i'm totally clean for 6 years and still counting. Always look to nature for solution to tough problems, Shrooms are phenomenal.

I love hearing great life changing stories like this. I want to become a mycologist because honestly mushrooms are the best form of medicine (most especially the psychedelic ones) There are so many people today used magic mushrooms to ween off of SSRI medication- its amazing! Years back i wrote an entire essay about psychedelics. they saved you from death buddy, lets be honest here.

On that level theres no substitute to this narcotic. Your flogging a dead horse trying to recreate simlar feelings in a normal setting, you cant. You have to go back over to the dark side to do that. The void left stopping has to be filled with new experiences one's that when called on can overcome the temptation to use. That one word has so many connections associated to it.✌️

I was addicted to shooting cocaine intravenously. There is nothing more debilitating for a human. It took me 10 years of abstinence before it didn't consume every thought that I had. TEN YEARS OF NOT DOING THAT DRUG TO NOT WAKE UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT DREAMING ABOUT IT. TEN YEARS BEFORE MY MIND WAS NOT CONSTANTLY PLOTTING MY NEXT BINGE. It made me something undescribable. It made me into such a monster that I was so disgusted and disappointed with myself that I quit. TEN YEARS OF MY LIFE not including all the time I spent in active addiction.

That's great but can I offer some unsolicited advice? Don't try to stop all of that at one time. You're setting yourself up for failure. Come up with a stop date for each one and stick to it. I have learned this through many, many stents in rehab and Recovery centers. Please listen to what I'm telling you, and learn from my mistakes. It's very doable, but you have to have the right mindset and know what you're doing before you start. Good luck. You can do it.

I tried coke twice in my life. Back around 1989 or so.. I was at a house party, and a line appeared in front of my face. I looked around, everyone was having a good time, and I just went for it. Didn’t feel a thing. At $180 a gram, I thought these people were nuts. Probably six months went by, and a very similar situation.. at a party, “here Cary, try a line.” So I did. And that time, I definitely realized why people were doing this stuff. I felt like the funniest, fastest guy at the party, and in that moment I immediately decided that I would never touch coke again. It was too good, and I just knew it would probably ruin my life. All these years later, I kept my promise. Stick with the green, kids. Nothing powdery.

Coke turns you into the devil, hence one of the nicknames for it being “Devils Dandruff” 😈. My problem with it is, using it along with porn and masturbation, even when i was with my ex, for hours on end by myself i would watch and edge to adult material. I recently went 6 months without but, fell back into relapse again just before Christmas, now i’m doing my best to stop myself spiralling out of control, physically/mentally financially and spiritually speaking. 🙏🏻

Always great to make an educational video because like you said, people will do whatever they want but if you educate them enough maybe they will stray away from it. The human mind is incredible but we have to almost manipulate ourselves during recovery. I mean retrain our brains to believe it’s poison and not a party drug, that worked for me with alcohol.

cocaine high is great but it doesnt last long enough....the high wears off wayyyy too fast and the scratchy, irritable, and sometimes paranoid come down is awful..... depending what its cut with can really irritate your nose for weeks after a single nights use, and its wayyyyyy too expensive. And when you are high u often feel horney but then cant get it up (even if you are young and fit). In short high is great but the negative aspects outweigh the very short and expensive high. Theres better bang for your buck activity to do.

So relatable! I started when I was not more than 20 years old, in the late 80’s through the 90’s, first job was on Wall St where they were doing it in the restroom during working hours, colleagues drinking and smoking weed on lunch breaks, One G was only $35 and me and my ex would get a couple for Friday and Saturday nights along with Bacardi or whatever. I remember being so sick and tired when Monday would come around, I felt toxic from the combination of coke and booze. Damm, I’m lucky to be here. My ex didn’t make though, sadly. I am so glad to be alive and healthy and have my dopamine back to normal. I enjoy the little things in life now, like family and sober friends ❤️❤️

An addicted person will never return to normal and will always crave the drug. Dopamine levels rule the brain. Cocaine causes brain damage. In chronic users, the brain comes to rely on the drug to maintain the high degree of pleasure associated with the artificially elevated levels of some neurotransmitters in its reward circuits. The brain adapts so much to these high dopamine levels that it actually manufactures new receptors. The resulting increased sensitivity produces depression and cravings if use stops and dopamine levels return to normal. The increased numbers of new receptors cannot get enough dopamine from normal levels so the victim must use again.

My stepdad had an addiction to coke when I was a kid. It really affected our family a lot. Your honest, straightforward explanation of your experience with cocaine has helped me to understand how easy it was for him to pick up and to think how he also thought it was harmless without really understanding the side effects or the repercussions of his actions. You've put into words what he struggled to do for the past 25-30 years! He's lost a handful of friends to cocaine overdose and it has been a tough subject for him and all of us in our family. I found your shorts on Snapchat and also followed you here on KZbin. Please keep all of this up! The awareness to ADHD, advocating for seeking help, and talking about your experiences. It must be part of our government alcohol business too, since we have monopolized booze stores owned by the government and no one else is not allowed sell harder alcohol than 8%. Welcome to the paradise named Finland, where also naturally helping cbd-products were banned just couple years ago lol. Oh its funny that our country got note from the Eu-parlament because it was illegally seizing alcohol packages coming from other cheaper countries. Hello, your story explains a lot of what is wrong with our society. You repeat as a mantra that nobody told you (about consequences) while admitting that “movies like “Scarface” didn’t scare you”. As much as I enjoyed “Scarface” (as well as “Casino”, “Goodfellas” and lots of other movies where cocaine is a part of a plot) I surely understood the message coming from those movies: it’s nothing worth dying for. So you were told about consequences, but you chose not to hear it. And this is what our society suffers from nowadays: people are informed about consequences, but choose to completely disregard them. I don’t criticise you. I admire your dedication to keep your life sober. I suppose I wouldn’t manage to cope with such an addiction. That’s why I avoid all of that. You gave an insight of the mindset that is completely strange for me. And it explains a lot. Thank you. Greetings!

The initial feeling of "that wasn't dramatic at all" and way the addiction creeps up on you is the exact same way with H. You do not wake up sick and craving more H. Edit: everything you said can be applied to my H journey, I could basically edit "coke" for "H", insert my face over yours and post it as my initial addiction to H.

That is a bang on description of my journey too. I got tired of the waiting game, with the runaround, then the rip off, the weird sketchy people that act like mindless animals,….that made it intolerable after awhile! Then the heavy poisonous drugs hit the streets……im not taking a chance, especially with all the crap that goes with it. Gotta learn to be trustworthy to yourself in order to make a legit effort…took me awhile, but I balanced my thinking. And reasoned that, the history of my usage was riddled with chaos and I won’t take it anymore! 3 n half years clean…..AND I quit smoking after 46 years. It’ll be three years oct 1. I remember the thrill….but the weight of the bs outweighed my pleasure. You have to wana be better!! Don’t settle with what you think your lot in life is, cuz it’s always subject to change! ❤

@@sherryhudson6879 it's true what you say, an addiction isn't going to hold you anymore the second you decide you want to stop. I've gone through many relapses and still struggle to chose sobriety. Especially when I'm depressed, all I want to turn to are drugs. I've stopped to ask myself in the middle of my sadness to be mindful of the emotions. This let's them pass on their own, it's better than running and burying them with drugs but certainly not as fun.

I feel this way with mushrooms. Shrooms give me a level of relaxation, rizz, and happiness that makes social interactions amazing. I know most people say they prefer being alone, or with just 1 or 2 close friends on shrooms. But for me, it truly is the perfect social lubricant. It's like a way more relaxed, fun, and cerebral version of weed to me. But it doesn't absolutely impair me mentally and physically the way that even 5-10 mg of weed edibles do.

The danger of cocaine in my experience, isn't that you yourself might become addicted, but that everybody else in your environment will, and you will have to either get on board, and allow your own life to be ruined with them, ( because all their activities are dependent on cocaine use), or you cut them out. So it's rather insidious. You could be going about your business, your friend comes over, or takes you out, and your plan for an early night to crack on with work in the morning will be ruined because they can't stop, and you aren't willing to cut them off. I can't remember the last time I actually bought cocaine. Years. But my friends will spend hundreds a week and fill my face because they can't stop. I prefer ket. It's cheaper, you can do it alone, you don't have to do all that much, it makes you more smarter (synapses and spines), and does'nt ruin your plans for the following day. But everyone else is a coke head, and it's hard to say no free cocaine. And then when you mix the two... That's something else netirely.

Always hated cocaine, could be swimming in it & I'd sell it to your Mom before doing a line...but I love the people. They're usually on the depressive side, who take on more responsibility than they should , a lot of single parents, cancer , AIDS patients, everybody who has problems too taboo for regular society to "allow" space to complain & problem solve. Started to feel pangs of guilt for participating in their demise. I'm Alcoholic/Addict in Recovery 12+ years later I'm grateful for that moment of clarity. Moral injuries are very real to me today. Best thing you’ve done… Couple of drinks once in a while it’s more than enough … I was abused when I was a kid… So the problem are not the drugs , but the void inside me that makes me depressed … since I was a child… started drinking at 11 or 12… And by the way , cocaine wasn’t my choice… expensive, all the rubbish that they put in,… Not my choice… I was a lonely drinker … and heroin is a”good” drug for lonely people…my friend use to make speed, so at least I knew what was on it…10€ for 1 gram, coke is 60€, and there’s only 3% on it???, Thank god my parents told me values ,so even I’m extremely depressed , i work , and help others…and not do any harm to others… Get drunk once or twice a month with my guitar … just to let the demons know that they cannot beat me…there’s love , honesty, loyalty , respect, compassion …and a lot of good REAL things in life… don’t fall into hate, anger, remorse, guilty, envy… That’s what the system wants : broken people … Sorry For the long message… Just wanted to share… 🙏🤘🖕

What was the most addictive part of it for me was how boring life got without it. To go from being in a hot tub with a couple girls on Molly doing rails to being in front of my computer at work was sucha contrast I didn't think I could enjoy normal life without it. @devilsoffspring5519 I wouldn't down play the cigarettes and booze, I know it's not coke and Molly but booze and cigarettes are 2 of the hardest things out there to quit. Addiction is addiction. Usually the same suspects as the root cause too. I know guys slowly killing themselves with food as their addiction. Same reasons, boredom, depression, anxiety, life issues. We are all in the same boat.

I used it recreationally ( 2 or3 times a year) back in the 80s. I won't lie, i enjoyed it when i did it. What made me quit was that i noticed that is that when i did use it, for a couple of weeks every time i blee my nose there was a little blood in my snot. After this happened a few times i made the connection and decided to stop using it because i didn't want it to cause any kind of permanent damage. I saw how it can be addictive (even though it wasn't considered addictive when i was using it), because it just made me feel really good with no real diwn side, until i started seeing the blood. It was $100 a gram back then which is kind if a blessing, because if it was cheaper i might have used it more often and had bigger problems with it

100 percent there are physical withdrawals from cocaine. I had damaged my nose pretty bad where it felt irritated like having a cold or having to sneeze. I had a centimeter sized hole that would get irritable because it was essentially an open sore.. So I would say I'm stopping for the night... Well 30 mins later my nose is red and painful, so I would do another bump, in order to get back to sleep. The only thing that relieved the pain was also the thing that caused it! Also I felt cold chills in my spine a few hours after. I found running as hot of water as I could stand and putting my face and nose right in it, helped loosen the mucus but also relaxed the pain.
