I suffered severe depression and mental disorder, got diagnosed with cptsd, not until a friend recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment changed my life for better. This interview by far has been the most interesting I have watched & heard. Ryan explains his chaotic life so well that I'm envisioning his life as he's telling it almost as if I'm watching a movie. This man has been through it and thankfully he's here to tell about it. I would love for you to meet back up with Ryan in the future and do an update on how he's doing. 💯 Ryan if by chance you read this, I want to thank you for sharing all you did. I'm glad that you pointed out that you were raised in a working class, stable and drug free family. A lot of people assume that addicts like myself come from a broken home, raised on welfare, dealt with abuse and had "junkies" for parents. Not true whatsoever. EVERYONE'S childhood & family life are different. Some people come from wealthy families and want for absolutely nothing while others come from families were they survived off groceries from food banks and church's and could only afford to shop at thrift stores. Hell, a lot of people can't shop at all and wear hand me downs and things that are donated. Point of all this being said.... ADDICTION DOESN'T DISCRIMINATE. Ryan your an inspiration and keep on keeping on! You are proof that recovery is REAL & very possible. I send positive vibes, happiness, love, success, health and wealth your way...

I’m 59 yrs old, and drugs and alcohol were my life for many years. 2 yrs opioid free, and 7 yrs alcohol free. I go to the gym for cardio 7 days a week. I just want to live. That should be everyone’s goal…Just want to live a little longer, always.

Put as much effort into sobriety as you do going to the gym, and you'll never have to drink again.

What an important story! How his childhood use of pharmaceuticals impacted his whole life in such a negative way. We all understand the typical problems in childhood that cause issues in adulthood. This is one not heard of or spoken of so much, there must be others like him. I hope people really hear that, I hope so many people see this video, more than any other you’ve ever done Mark!

I was put on hydrocodone when I was 16, because I had West Nile Virus. I didn't really need opiates, but I took them because I felt like I needed them. I was awkward in school, I couldn't control my temper or my emotions well at all, and I was incredibly anxious almost 24/7 (there are reasons for that, that I won't get into here), so when I first took the pain meds, I felt like I found the answer to all of life's problem's, and that I just needed to make sure I always had a supply of them. I kept seeing my doctor, and he treated me like a lab animal, putting me on everything from Tramadol, to Lyrica, to Adderall, to Provigil, to Cymbalta, to Benzos, to so much more. It's insane, when I think about those few years when I was his patient. I had to find a new doctor when I moved, and he just continued giving me opiates and Lyrica. It has lead to a 17 year addiction, and I'm still not over it. I'm getting very close to being off of everything, thankfully, and I'm getting back on my feet after 17 years of not getting anywhere. I'm starting over at 33, but I'm glad I have the chance to start over, and good friends and family. Without them, I would be long gone.

@Andrew Yet you spend your free time commenting on these videos rather than focusing on something actually important in your life lmao. You’re obviously a very driven, focused guy.

@@supersash3157 I wish there wasn't, I was a huge fan as he's extremely talented but he really pissed his Patreon audience off by constantly relapsing. Promising content then ghosting everyone who pays for his lifestyle. Really sad but true.

I just watched this on an airplane next to my 2yr old son and it touched me. I lived in Santa Barbara during the times he was talking about. I was really happy to hear him say how having children gave him purpose because I can relate. Went to the comments and found out he passed away and now I’m crying. Really sad. Sending love to his family.
