The big discrepancy in the idea of her returning to the United States with a new identity is, of course, how does one explain Noonan. He would have had to both agreed to and done the same thing. It is one thing for a famous celebrity to decide to give up her profession, vocation and fame, but for a respected navigator and captain to say "well, I guess I've done enough in aviation" and then become an anonymous person completely isolated from his friends and family seems to be far more implausible.

Oh hell, that’s even more tragic if the sunken object is indeed her plane since that would mean she got so painfully close to Howland before being forced to ditch the plane in the ocean.

Every few years some company that either builds, owns, or operates deep sea search equipment claims to have found her plane, or flight 19, or MH 370, or an Alien space craft. It gets their name in the news for a while, then they quietly fade away. I have seen it many, many times.
@Aaronatevergreen5 ай бұрын
Her first plane wasn't $80,000. That's how much the Electra that she disappeared in was. $80k (About 1.4million today) and was paid for by the Purdue Research Foundation. Her first plane was a Kenner and it was $2,000. Her mom and sister helped her pay for that one.
@frogbutts36284 ай бұрын
Thanks for clearing that up. When it got to that part and said she bought her first plane for $80k while working at a phone company, i was kind of confused how anyone in the post depression era was coming up with that kind of cash on what sounds like an entry level job.

What if she did crash and her and Noonan did survive and make it to an island and he was badly hurt. So to survive, she had to eat Noonan. Knowing that if Amelia Earhart was found she'd be decriied for cannibalism for the rest of her life, not to mention have to face Noonan's family, she had the church help her back to the country and took the new name to hide from her shame.

Noonan was not an incompetent navigator. He was quite competent, but not as skilled in the communication devices and definitely not proficient in morse code. Having Manning there would've drastically improved the chances for them. And even someone as skilled as Noonan can make mistakes.

The documents James Francis Kelly had sound a little too perfect. Especially the note about it being a shame her mother never knew she survived. It reminds me of evidence you find in a video game to give exposition.
@notahumanbeing68925 ай бұрын
that’s the first thought I had, the names I could buy but the note about her mother not knowing really does feel too cinematic to be true. Stranger things have happened though, I want to dig a bit more at that to see if it’s got good evidence or not
@JosaxJaz4 ай бұрын
about a year ago I did a 6-page essay about Earhart. Definitely missed some of the stuff you covered, like the crabs and the whole theory that she actually survived. It's a very interesting theory, although I feel it brings up too many loose ends and brings up more questions than it answers. In my opinion, the most likely scenario, as boring as it may be, is that she just crashed in the ocean, due to the difficult cloud cover that Amelia reported, causing low visibility, resulting in said ocean crash.

What if all three theories are correct, she crashes ends up on coconut crab island, dies, the U.S. Government does things to create a clone of her, she gets back to the U.S. and wants to live a normal life. I mean think about it, if she didn't crash then what about that sonar imagine of a suposoed airplane in the ocean, but yet if she did survive or even just crashed in the ocean and died, who did actually die on coconut crab island? And then that Irene lady, why did she not want fingers prints or say a dental record if she did not have something to hide, but again, if that is her, who died on coconut crab island, and what happened to the plane. Too bad we can't finger print those things the British found along side that skeleton.

@Real.Oni.VR.246 Lmao. Imagine trying to find a few cubic feet of metal in the thousands of sq miles of her route, over the ocean. Nope, no mistery, she DEFINITELY crashed. She was also a pretty mediocre pilot, criticized multiple times for her sloppy habits that would one day spell her doom. The only mistery here is why we are so attached to our female 'heroes'. Nice video..totally wrong, but good try. Here's what ACTUALLY happened... Prior to Amelia's around the World flight, she had a Top Secret meeting with FDR where he convinced her to have a spy camera installed in the Electra on it's final leg from Lae to Howland. That region of the South Pacific was now crawling with Japanese troops, and the US Gov't wanted specific intel. The spy camera was installed into the Electra at Lae and Noonan was taught how to operate it. While trying to locate Howland they were running on fumes and managed to land on a small atoll in the Marshalls. Unfortunately, the Japanese occupied that little island ..BAD LUCK ! Amelia, Noonan and the plane were immediately captured by the Japanese and whisked off to Saipan. Not long after, both Amelia & Noonan were executed as Spies and buried on Saipan. American forces took Saipan soon after and discovered a safe which contained Fred and Amelias Passports, documents, flight bag, maps, and journals.. the Electra was located in a nearby hanger. When news of this reached FDR, he ordered complete secrecy and the immediate destruction of the Electra. A Saipan schoolgirl witnessed the executions several days before and led an American Officer right to Amelia' & Fred's single grave...None of this was made public until some 50 years later...
@jmjones78973 ай бұрын
Naw. It's 7-8 years between the time they disappeared and IS forces taking Saipan. Story does not check out
