Im Asian American and growing up I seen these type of relationships and marriages and divorced.I always found them weird and lacking of chemistry and transactional. I know this sounds harsh but this is why I do not date interracially because to often men especially white men have view of Asian women that is disgusting thinking we are submissive. And have no opinion or thought of our own. And this attract predators. Even I knew a Thai lady that quickly divorced her American husband who he thought he could treat her like a servant and be grateful that he brought her to America.

Tbf the us has just so much baggage when it comes to race and gender power dynamics. It's crazy to think about how much we have changed as a society (while still having issues) and you have people who were benefitting from and buying into the traditional inequality and bigotry and all the myths that come with it.
