Re-listening while doing crap and it stood out enough I had to see what yt had to say 😆 I think if he actually understood it and wasn't quite so set against it from near the start, he would totally support it, given his other ideals and whatnot. Yep, he seemed to have a preconceived notion that dark web = bad, and all the facts and logic she used to explain why it is not that black and white, he just fobbed off so he could continue to keep his ignorant view of it intact. She was an amazing expert and completely changed my view of the dark web. Jim came across so bigoted and ignorant which was hard to watch. I usually agree with what he has to say. Definitely not this time

You’re not promoting the bad things that happen on the dark web to the public, you’re educating them. Your podcast is a comedic educational podcast and it’s amazing! I was really looking forward to being educated on this topic not because I cared to start doing bad things but I simply wanted to know how it worked. Bad people will find out how to do bad things, they don’t need your podcast to figure it out.

I feel like the only one who understands what Jim was saying. It’s not a simple topic. Of course there are benefits to the dark web but the dark side is so extreme and enables the darkest and worst people and creates connections between them and communities. The regular internet is progressively getting more and more dangerous nevermind a space where bad people are protected (I know it’s not that simple but it feels like the whole thing just shouldn’t exist when you really think of the horrors)
