These weird marriages where the men ritually spank the women for discipline are just kink. It’s BDSM kink, but the sub cannot consent. You can’t mock God, He knows exactly why you’re doing it and repackaging it as “holy.” Christ’s love and respect for women is undeniable.

It's not always kink. Sometimes it can just be an abuser taking advantage of his wife and manipulating her into believing it is right via "Christian" justifications (perverting the Bible) aka emotional and domestic violence. There is a documentary of a "Christian" family (Turpin Family, wife was at fault too and an abuser) that did this to their children in America and kept them locked up in chains to their beds and would beat them.. they believed it was deserved and normal "discipline" because they grew up that way. Absolutely disgusting.

As a Christian man happily married to his high-school sweetheart, I couldnt bear to listen to all of this. Nobody raises their voice to her, and nobody threatens her, and that includes me. How can a man vow to protect and provide security for his wife but still be the instrument of her fear? Be a strong, assertive, competent, masculine husband and your wife will respect you and you will love her. It makes no sense to have a wife fearful of you. My head is still spinning from what little i watched, so maybe im not making any sense, but my goodness, a man ought not need discipline his wife. She ought to gladly co-operate. edit: "a man ought not need discipline his wife" I'm sorry , ladies, wrong choice of words. But the subject matter really struck a nerve and my linguistics skills got overridden by my amygdala. Even the photo of her sitting there with him standing over her threateningly . ..dont do that. We get a bad reputation from every direction. We don't need Christian ladies adding to the stereotype.

How can God and Jesus be your Father, protector, guide, and salvation if he is also an instrument of your fear? Which he CERTAINLY is. If you have a disrespectful, hateful wife, the only thing that will fix that is the fear that everyone should feel for someone they respect, follow and fear losing. If you do not fear God, you are a fool. Your wife is to respect you as she would God himself. Fear is a normal and integral part of being submissive to and following God himself. The Holy Bible expresses in several areas over this concept. A woman not fearing her husband has led to the current downfall of the family in western culture, and the feminization of men by single mothers that are completely incapable of raising strong, healthy young Men and Women.

I hope you are well now ❤️. Parents should not be violent toward their children, not in any way, because children are humans as well as anyone else in the world. Is it right and acceptable to beat up an employee or a waiter or perhaps a teacher? Of course not. Children are humans. They can't be "owned" by parents. They are their own person. Internal thoughts and values, ideas, motivations, interests, emotions can't be owned. So everyone, even if a child could be somehow be technically owned, they are still free in their mind. And I hope that you will absolutely find a great husband, who will love and value you as a human being, like we all should.
@laralexa454
@laralexa454 8 ай бұрын
@@global1007beautifully said! The terrible thing is that inner freedom, “they are still free in their mind”, also goes away at a certain point. You can become so conditioned/trained that you actually believe your thoughts to be your own, even when that’s no longer true. You’ve been effectively programmed, often using cult-like tactics. An abuser very deliberately manipulates the mind of their chosen victim over time, & the most insidious pathway in this effort uses religion to control others. (“Religion” meaning dogma formed by individuals, or systems, seeking control, rather than spirituality.) You really do slowly lose your inner freedom. It happened to me over the course of a 25-yr marriage, but I was blessed to be able to “awaken” when my abusive husband began to leave home for extended periods for his work. Anyways, thanks for your comment! I will save it!

Notice how the guy uses softer language like "spanking" and "forced sex". Let's be real here. He's excusing beating your wife and raping her. Thankyou so much for talking about this! I am a teenage girl and I am getting increasingly interested in Christianity/Traditional Femininity but these sorts of concepts definitely have exacerbated my anxiety around romance/sex and traditionalism/religious living. Misogynistic men who claim to follow biblical gender roles but then advocate for the objectification/abuse of women have made me much more apprehensive about being born female than anyone who is more progressive. The quote about the crying during the spanking quite frankly brought me to tears. Thank you so much for being both a traditionally feminine woman and also being someone who strongly criticizes this sort of thing because it seems conservative men all too often let this slide. God bless 💕

My dad is a lukewarm. I wouldn’t say he’s a “born again Christian” like I am. He likes to talk about going to church and saying nice stuff about Jesus but he really isn’t that well versed enough in the Bible and doesn’t have solid understandings on critical parts of the faith in some ways which I find a bit weird. That’s why I say he’s a “lukewarm”. He frequently has made comments about women (not positive ones of course) and marriage (talking about why men don’t want to get married today), then he low key high key implied that the “black family is being destroyed” by black women and that we have “high testosterone”. I was so disgusted but he’s shown me his true colors bit by bit about how he thinks of women - he sees us as easily likely enemies who conspire against and hate men. And the funny thing is many women in the black community absolutely WORSHIP black men but he talks like we’re the reason why the community isn’t what it should be. He complains about women raising their standards as well (because it’s leaving guys behind). He once (during a driving lesson) told me what kind of wife I should be although I asked him what qualities in a man I should look for. I honestly think that a lot of men that think like this have issues empathizing with women. They are high key selfish and will blame us for everything and their own failures. That isn’t how a true and healthy minded Christian man thinks. I’m not even interested in marrying someone with a secular mindset… and the pickings these days are slim, so I feel like being celibate and single is looking more desirable the more I see men talk like this. Thank God there are some healthy minded guys out there that aren’t thinking from a narcissistic and low key - high key misogynistic point of view.

Honestly I've been struggling with porn addiction for a decade. I'm ashamed to admit it. There was a time I was full into doing mental gymnastics to find a way to excuse BDSM as something good and positive. Something that should be allowed in marriage if both consent. Something that shouldn't be condemned by the bible and God. But it's a slippery slope that can suck you in and send you to the depths of hell and depravity before you even realize. I'm still not over the addiction, it's very hard, it's ingrained in my brain and I am paying the price everyday. But I believe that I'm doing progress lately. Because I reached out to God for help. And I learned how blind and sick I was and still am. I learned the BDSM is never really justified even if it's a kink.

I came across this vile theology after stumbling upon a site called, Biblical Families, where the whole group actively promotes/lives polygamous lifestyles, using God's word. They teach that if a wife doesn't submit to her husband's desire for other women, that she is obedient and rebellious, and in danger of God's wrath. So many things I've seen on there have been so egregious and have really messed with my understanding of God. But seeing people like you warn about these horrible doctrines, gives me some hope. And yes, I've noticed that a very large portion of people in these fringe groups, are the type that have forsaken assembly - those who forsake the guidance, protection and instruction of the church, to go and pave their own way, thinking they are the church unto themselves.

You are younger than my daughters and sons and I think your points of view about near everything are very thoughtful and in fact; I find your religion as in the Ortodox Church is interesting. I've been a Christian all/most of my life and am thankful for that. I'm a member of two churches and that's not a problem here. I miss my late wife a lot and haven't had the opportunity...and craving...to find a new wife - she perhaps is irreplaceable? In fact, she was not easy to live with and her family did and do have the same opinion. Excuse me now but she was turned on by the physical side of CDD and took initiativ several times and now I understand that I made her disappointed with me for not taking enough responsibility for her development in her role as a wife. She was the most brilliant mother you can imagine but as a wife, not so much. Isn't it remarkable that these secular books about spanking wives are written by...women? Even this "...50 shades..." story and numerous books on line too. I mean, there is oxygen and we can/want to breath, there is water and... I read the Bible every day and much because of my issues with my late wife I'm quite familiar with how the Jewish/Hebrew and the Christian views are when you read between the lines. Haven't you missed a couple of verses here and there! * In Genesis 3:16 (!) the husband's duty is to "rule" over the wife and the Hebrew word is associated with how a king would handle problems including physical punishment. * In Revelations (3?)God/Jesus is chasting the ones He loves... Of course the Bible can't be grafic here, there are enough of psychopaths out there who enjoy giving pain... Personally I, and not my wife either, did spank our children, if you can't communicate with them verbally you shouldn't multiply! But in the end(!), why do so many women find it appropriate - and attractive - to submit to her man, even for spanking? Quite a mystery if you don't accept the need for some kind of CDD, but not for all marriages? But in my case I think we should have done this "maintenance" version quit often and in hindsight I think my wife in a way missed it and perhaps lost trust in my competens as a caretaking husband. Too late, sadly. Friendly, Sigurd.

Just because some women have fantasies about this matter, it doesn't mean all women are into it. If you watch a thriller, you won't try to replicate in reality what you saw. Otherwise, you would get în jail! Most people are able to differentiate fact from fiction. Especially, adults. It's not that hard! 🤪

We have attended many Orthodox churches. Serbian was the first one I attended. I’ve also attended a Russian Orthodox church. Currently, we’re attending a Greek Orthodox church but the Russian Orthodox agree with all beliefs however, they usually approach a few things differently. Like, usually, Russian Orthodox churches have regular in-person confession while the Greeks dont do that, really. And the Russians usually dont have pews (they stand for the entire liturgy). I honestly usually prefer their practices but the differences are nominal

These are the reasons why I am really getting drawn to the apostolic churches because it’s so tiring to constantly bicker about individual’s own explanations of the Bible in light of their own feelings or understanding. Specially for men and women when it comes to sexuality. And yes as a married woman I am sick and tired arguing with a Protestant husband who constantly hates and condemns all of the apostolic Churches calling them pagan also constantly interpreting Bible from his own fleshly desires … he says “ it’s another way to look at this verse “ I am just tired of arguing so I quit. He even was saying there can be orgies in heaven … it’s another way to look at the Bible.Lord have mercy on us. Another thing I wanted to add just because two people are married sometimes men think and usually it’s the men that think they can do whatever in the bed with their wives … like they want to bring their cornographic imagery in the bed and if the wife doesn’t want to act according to their imagery she is suddenly not doing her wifely duty to pleasure her man. It’s this weird expectation for her to be a good Godly wife kneeling down in front of Lord but then turns around and transforms in to this succubus in the bed..she has to be the most vile promiscuous one that brings alive the dark corn that these men daily consume.

The Bible is very very clear in what it says we should not take part in, there is NO other fleshly interpretation anyone can make. Yes, some of the Bible needs the guidance of the holy spirit to understand deeper meaning. But, what God reveals to us that keeps us away from his will and his kingdom there is no other way to look at it, that is only willful ignorance. "Envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God." Galatians 5:21..... There will be no orgies in heaven, clear and bright as day. This is not the only scripture that very clearly condemns orgies either, as well as other deviant sexual sins. Anyone who tries to put their own interpretation on what is very well written out in scripture needs a lot of prayer to come before God in repentance, God does not take these things lightly and he will say he never knew us if we choose to behave in ways that demonstrate we don't know him.

This video is good but I think you should be very specific on the things these wives get spanked for. I saw where one wife was severely beaten for sitting next to her mother-in-law in a restaurant because her husband thought she should sit next to him. Another was beaten for bringing dinner to the table too slowly. Another was beaten several times for attending a church meeting slightly late (she was at work) talking animatedly and forgetting some snacks for her church group. One wife revealed her husband shaved her head (and beat her, of course) because her hair got in the way when he tried to have oral sex. Another was beaten because she drank a beer in the frig, (the last one) but there were more in the garage, etc. One wife (and her daughter) had to stand in full display in the living room naked after having received their spankings. This was while the woman's son brought his fiancee over for dinner for the first time. It seems these husbands who are borderline or outright abusive use DD as an excuse to abuse their wives. The wives take it because they signed a form agreeing to this discipline. Once they enter into this agreement, they cannot argue with their husbands or they will receive MORE discipline.

I am vehemently against all hitting in the home but when it happens to a grown woman, with a fully developed brain, who consented to be there in the first place after potentially years (however long she wants) of testing the partner to weigh if suitable or not, can opt out anytime she wants, is not financially dependent on the perpetrator, legally dependent or dependent in any other way. If she gets hit once on one occasion with a hand, we call it "dark" "violent" "unacceptable" but if it happens to that exact same woman when a defenceless, tiny little girl who is financially, legally and emotionally dependent on the perpetrator, with a developing brain, didn't even agree to be there in the first place, is a novice/beginner at life, isn't free to leave at all and has a whole society saying she not only can be hit but should be hit, it can be done on numerous occasions over years even with instruments/weapons and with forced stripping, it's not seen as being as "dark" as the above scenario against her when she's bigger/less helpless?

Ultimately, this is yet another example of how the sinful world has infected the church for centuries and promoted male entitlement and declared that the Ephesian verses are about hierarchy with the man at the top. The truth is that 1) we go by Christ's command to love one another, 2) Ephesians discusses this and 3)Ephesians calls for a husband and wife to submit, give in, to one another, the wife to the husband, and the husband loves the wife as Christ loves the church. There is no hierarchy of who is the boss, but about how to love one another in their God-inspired feminine energy of love and surrender and the masculine energy of action and service. So yes, "Christian" domestic discipline is sinful and so not Biblical.

I came out of a Calvinist church that misinterpreted Ephesians by totally leaving out 5:21, submit to another, forgetting Christ's teachings, and focused on the wife submitting as in obeying, and the husband's headship as being in charge. Even as a teen, i knew this wasn't true and finally left that church. So, years later, I stumbled across a secular blog about feminine energy and about submitting as in relaxing in our femininity and receiving while the man finds pleasure and inspiration in service and doing for the wife's and the family's benefit. In this, there is no hierarchy, but instead, men and women work together and are like a matched set of salt and pepper shakers, for lack of a better comparison. They work together for the best flavor. That's the best way I've found of thinking about it.

People go all over the place in interpreting the Bible. There is also a great deal of variation in what people emphasize. Some Biblical versions are usually ignored, others fixated upon. Another point: When modern people read the Bible, we are reading a translation. Some words and phrases may not translate perfectly from one language to another. His beliefs are based on taking some verses both seriously and literally.
