About the heart on Susies belt, I think it might be like a symbol that the heroes from the prophecy share, as Ralsei also has a heart on his clothes and Kris of course has the soul.

Kris' armour also might be a reference to Varik from the snes game Brandish (or Mother 2 Halloween Hack by Toby himself), which you could translate it into Kris having the fantasy of being an RPG-esque protagonist you stated.

I think your point on the theory of Kris having the dark world shaped for them could still work. Because in Chapter 2, they get to spend time with Noelle, which shows that they got to repair their friendship with Noelle (at least on the normal route) Also, remember the player controlling Kris. The player wants an adventure, so the dark world gives the player, instead of Kris, what their wishes are (poor Kris). And about the Weird Route. I think this is an example of taking good surroundings and manipulating them to ruin the original plan. And that could explain why Berdly's death seemingly pokes a hole in your otherwise very well-crafted theory. To conclude, great job on your video!
