I would personally recommend Sunshine over the others, the use of the jet pack mechanics is actually very fun and unique. There are certain shines to collect that are a pain in the ass but it's still good

You don't have to poke the fast platform in the middle in the bird section, you can just poke directly the pillar like in 12:06, you just have to jump in midair (yes, the bird can jump midair) or shake the controller when jumping to get a big spinning jump.

QUIN!!! I could be wrong as I haven't played Mario Odyssey in a while, but I'm pretty sure that when you are attached the the swinging walls with the pokio, if you don't hold in a direction, you can shake the pro controller and the pokio will jump up higher than normal. I hope it helps.

There’s a neat trick you can do with the glide lizard that lets you skip the pokey bird part. A lot of speed runners use it.

If you loved the extremely minor flying part of this game, I'd recommend Sky: children of the light. Even if you don't necessarily enjoy the gameplay, sticking out for the ending is the most worthwhile majestic experience I've gone through in a video game that's for some reason free to play and has left me feeling existentially complete?? Although the main collecting aspect of that game is similar to Mario quite a lot now that I think about it. Doing the ending sequence with a 'friend' was cool and sweet too.

Some tips and pointers from when I did it : There are hearts all around the map; the starting one is relatively useless in my opinion, and there is one behind the lava lake rock that leads to another level. By the time you become yoshi, if you go to the sphinx and answer their riddle, you'll get an extra 3 heart.

64 is a classic with some really fun speed running glitches. Sunshine has great vibes and aesthetics, but the mechanics are a little weird to learn. Galaxy is good, but everyone says Galaxy 2 is better, so play both so you can compare. : )

8:10 is the section I gave up on when I tried beating the darker side. It’s just too crazy for my peanut sided brain to handle. And it didn’t help that the gliding part never seemed to work properly for me, resulting in my falling short by a couple meters 4 out of 5 times

I do consider Darker Side easier than Champion's Road. It's long and has tough sections like the latter, but there are too many heart refills. With the Sphinx hiding another Big Heart to refill you to 6. Making it a tough, but perhaps TOO fair of a trek. Also. Provided you have your Pokio in a neutral position you can shake your controller to cause it to fling itself higher than usual. Using that method will allow you to poke into the white wall on the cliff. Rather than try to catch that last swinging board. And yes. This section is always scary as hell.
