one thing that i really find interesting in this story is the paneling. this version of batman is so dissociated from everyone else and you see that in the white pace that’s so apparent with Leslie. the monster is existing in every aspect of his being.

I read the first issue and I was so blown away. It also kind of reminds me of another Batman story I like-Batman Year one, what with the ledger writing and cursive and all that and the fact that it also deals with the police trying to stop him.

I like the take on the gritty nature of what Bruce is out to do; I stick with the idea of the No Kill Rule is one in the same with being the Batman, stepping over and he is just the Punisher. The mind of the man can't be replaced, it's a weird ray of sunshine to keep the is Bruce insane tagged with he is making a positive dent in Gotham's broken system, versus the main comic where it's thought the existence of Batman creates its own assortment of villains.
@ganjjabarsmedium23472 жыл бұрын
Sorrentinos artwork is a masterpiece, and and story fantastically dives into the dark side of Bruce's upbringing, and what he would be without the patience of Alfred to not give up on Bruce. Loved it! 🔥🔥🔥

I hope you continue to do vids on Imposter as it’s one of those unsung thematic stories that fit so well with a version of Bruce who’s pret much consumed by his need to be Batman to do anything productive for the city that he can’t switch off from it that shoulda been told a long time ago. THEN have that aspect challenged by new positive influences introduced to him which he’ll have to “contend” with in his quest to clear his name

@@SophiaSanders61 do you even english?
@SophiaSanders612 жыл бұрын
@Matthew Cutrona I do in fact. Could of and would of are words that sound similar to contractions "could've" and "would've". These contractions denote the use of "have" as an auxiliary verb in the sentence which adds more nuance and importance on "could/would" to give them extra meaning and emotion. "Of" would not logically make any sense in your sentences as none of the uses of the word "of" are that of an auxiliary verb and "of" does not come close to fulfilling the same role.

what you said about people who don't care whether they live or die was bullshit, Rob. I have found myself in that frame of mind in my life before. Not suicidal, not even close. Couldn't do it if I wanted to. No, I just saw nothing to inspire hope or confidence in the world I thought I lived in. I wasn't mad at anybody else, not even at myself. It was just pointless pain all the way down, so why get all protective over the precious life I had since that just ruined what happiness I could remember. I never once endangered anyone, never wanted to unless it was in self defense. So yeah, what you said was bullshit. Your opinion is worth less, not worthless, to me now. I still love your channel.

The part about suicidal ideation was pretty off base. Passive suicidal ideation (having thoughts about suicide or self harm but no intention of carrying it out, wishing to die, or it can take the form of not caring whether they live or die/"If I dropped dead right now, I wouldn't care/it would be a relief") is a common symptom of depression and they are in no way a danger to others unless there is some other condition or reason. With passive suicidal ideation, many aren't even a danger themselves. The difference between passive suicidal ideation and active suicidal ideation is whether or not a person is thinking of plans to kill themselves. A person experiencing passive ideation may experience random thoughts about ending their life, consistently think about dying, or not care whether they live or die. There are many people who cope with long term passive ideation without harming themselves (but coping skills and support is important, and looking into medication can be beneficial), but there is always the risk. Active suicidal ideation is when the person is actively making plans to carry out suicide or self-harm. Even then while a risk to themselves, they aren't typically a risk to others unless there are other factors at play. The statement about people not caring about the wellbeing of others because they don't care about their own is pretty poorly thought out.
@MylesMyra2 жыл бұрын
I’m pretty new to this Behavioral health stuff and the dsm-5 so don’t quote me on this but in this telling of Batman’s story his lack of empathy and remorse definitely falls under the lines of being classified as a “Psychopath” caused by the serious emotional trauma he experienced thanks to his parents death. If it’s found out that a patient does indeed intend to harm someone and we don’t tell the police or inform them of the possible loss of life then we do lose our license and our job. The “confidentiality agreement” our patients sign have limits, and illegal activity/Loss of life aren’t within that limit.
