My three friends and I drove from Richmond, VA to Kansas City, MO that weekend to see this beautiful event. The Solar Eclipse of 2017 will always hold a special place for me, my friends sean, jose and nora!

So many people driving around as if everything was normal, missing out on a (potentially) once in a lifetime experience.

I was in north kansas city, will post soon, showed up through just as clouds came in. Some people did not see totality through clouds, st joseph was nearly totally obscured, they got 1 sec or so.

The beginning of this video with the orchestra music and the slow descent to darkness; makes me feel like a evil entity has been release to attack Kansas city.

I was nearby in Sparks, KS. Though we had rain, thunder, and clouds, we saw about 20-seconds of totality! I heard that Troy was clouded-over.
@TheMikester3073 жыл бұрын
@@cnlicnli Cloudy except right before totality; we saw the crescent sun through the clouds! The clouds parted a couple of times during totality and we could see the black ball of eclipsed sun surrounded by a fuzzy ring of corona. The crowd there in Troy cheered! :)

Hi Josh Weinstock: I’m *IMPRESSED(!)* that you “timely” registered “THE DARKEST DAY: Total Solar Eclipse Over Kansas City” video clip with the US Copyright Office. Searching the USCO’s on-line Public Catalog, I also see that you have another 34 registered PA (videos) & SR (sound recording) registrations on file. *You’re way ahead of other creatives in protecting your creative IP assets!* Your recording of imagery of Metcalf South Mall’s final days can be historically valuable. Curious, were those still images and/or the video (sound) registered? *Things to keep in mind:* 1) You’re encouraged to affix a watermark (logo) to your posted videos to *reinforce your copyright creation & ownership claims.* Infringers who knowingly remove, cover up, or change (with any editing software) your copyright attribution, watermarks, logos, metadata, licensing information, and other *“Copyright Management Information” (CMI)* to hide their copyright infringing actions or to induce others to infringe can be liable for your actual damages and profits OR $2,500 to $25,000 in statutory damages PLUS attorney fees PLUS legal costs (at the court’s discretion). See 17 USC §§ 1202-1203 (Integrity of copyright management information & Civil remedies). 2) Copyright infringers, who exploit your posted videos outside the KZbin platform, could argue that their infringing actions were “*innocent,”* as they didn’t see any copyright attribution affixed to your videos. If a federal court accepts that “innocent” argument, your statutory damages could be as low as $200 (see 17 USC § 504(c)(2): Statutory Damages). On the other hand, copyright owners can “statutorily” defeat (bogus) *“innocent infringement”* defense claims by affixing readable CMI to their posted media (see 17 USC § 401(d): Evidentiary Weight of Notice). For me, I’ve timely registered pretty much *ALL* my still & video imagery over the last 15+ years! Again, *great job protecting your creative rights!*
