The whole point behind that arch was to show Frenchie's remorse for his actions. He wants to feel guilty, he wants to suffer, he wants to be beaten by the person who would absolutely do so for his actions. Frenchie in a weird way wants to die for his sins. I hope there is still a redeeming arch for Frenchie though, because otherwise it's going to have a depressing end to the story.

I cackled like a hyena at the scene with Sage and The Deep. 😆 The way The Deep immediately goes 180 degrees and is suddenly on board with the lobotomy when he gets an offer he can't refuse, and it's hilarious how you can literally see Sage's gaze turn just as stupid and vacant as The Deep's after the procedure! 🤣 Great performance, and the actors must have had such a fun time shooting the scene. I hope they come out with blooper reel from it..! 😅

I dunno, if I was an elder man in a coma and my kids gave me V to bring me back to life I’d be all for it. That would mean I’d get more time with my kids and super powers as a bonus. Also, I kinda think the V Butcher took was absorbed by his tumor or something, and so the tumor had powers and is capable of thought or something. I think when Butcher blacked out, the tumor came out and killed that guy to protect Butcher and I bet Jeffery Dean Morgan is the tumor thing trying to talk to Butcher. I don’t know that all may be veering into bizarre territory. I love how Barbara compares Homelander to a “creature of myth” when describing how Homelander lasered his way out of his mom, murdered a bunch of hospital staff, and was just levitating with the umbilical cord still connected. Such a crazy mental image.

Where do so many people get the idea that Compound V makes you sterile? That was never stated at all. Powers weren't typically passed down, until Ryan. Soldier Boy is Homelander's dad. Homelander is Ryan's dad. Victoria Neuman has a daughter. Stormfront said she had a daughter.

I think temp V messed up both Butcher and Hughies heads, and they're both hallucinating. Hughies mums isn't actually there and everything he did at the hospital was himself, who created this illusion of his mum doing it to ease his own guild

So far, the throughline for this season seems to be about past sins. Antony Starr & Tomer Capone are really killing it this season, and Karen Fukuhara's expressiveness is always fantastic. Also a shoutout to Jessie T. Usher giving some nice subtle but readable emotions with A-Train. It's those performances that which get me through the gore and absurdity.

The incident with Butcher in the trailer seems to allude to an episode of the Diabolical animated anthology series where a cancer patient was injected with Compound V to cure but instead caused the cancer to mutate into a super powered parasite

I have watched this episode a few times and gave seen several reactions. I just noticed something in this reaction that I did not notice at all before. When A Train runs into Homelander's Penthouse the pages of the magazine open up and it looks like they're not meant to be touched. Homelander will definitely notice that the magazine is open. A Train is on borrowed time at this point. Not to mention Homelander probably knows exactly how many viles on compound V are he has in there. I mean he's a lunatic but he is not stupid.

We've seen plenty of supes kids on Gen V and they only have powers because of compound v and not because their parents had powers. This episode is dark as hell! Temp-V Is Green. A-Train Gave Hughie Compound -V (Blue ) Butcher took Compound V (blue) after he found out he was Dying from the Temp-V. ( Frenchie gave Compound -V To Kimiko after she Lost her abilities. So Butcher would have had Plenty) And I think that Parasite worm Going through Butcher is/Was the Cancerous cells in his brain. It Maybe Healing Butcher slowly .And Its Possible That Butcher is developing abilities of his own plus the Ones from the Parasite. And when threatened ...Butcher was passing out Maybe the Parasite took over? Similar to a Jekyll and Hyde situation?? ( I also think his Visions are from the Parasite (Trying to communicate with Billy) Becka is the Good in Butchers Personality and I think His aggressive extremist side is His old CIA friend (Who i think is also a vision) I could be way off... I like being surprised when My theories are Wrong. lol

This was hands down the best episode of the season. Definitely not of the shows as a whole. The homelander stuff was obviously some of the absolute best, but a lot of the rest of the episode had the same negatives that have made the first 3 episodes pretty poor overall.
