then you shouldn't put "darkest ever" in the title. its misleading considering you pulled songs from the comments instead doing actual research. not saying you didn't for the songs but definitely not for the genre in general. if you want to make a video with that actually being true i suggest doing some research on what the darkest overall songs are instead of just taking suggestions from comments with no real effort put in finding those songs past "comments said it was". just seems like you wanted to use your viewers for a quick vid and it didn't really matter what it was about. this is pretty much someone else's hw with your name on it.

'Died'and 'Get Born Again' by Alice in Chains is also a good mention. The themes may not be as dark as some of the other songs mentioned, but theyre still very disturbing. The lead singer Layne Staley was suffering a massive heroine addiction and had just lost his fiance in the late 90s to a herione related heart failure. Layne recorded these two songs literally 70% dead. He was 100lbs, had no teeth and audibly slurred alot of the words. Still two of the best AIC songs ever written. They both relate to him wanting to start over and 'Get Born Again'. Died is about the death of his fiance as well.

Literally all of Iowa is a musical masterpiece and the story behind the entire production is one of anguish and torment. The members hated each other, everyone struggled with trauma and addiction, and even the producer suffered a broken spine during production that left him in crippling pain -- which he, too, put into the production. I recommend you to hear Crushed Mary, I heard it was inspired by a murder story. It's a vocaloid song and there's a LOT of dark and depressing vocaloid songs I found

Dance with the devil is very chilling
@theslimyitalian Жыл бұрын
If you do another part of this series, you should definitely include Lil Wayne - I Feel Like Dying The song itself sounds like it would almost be a chill, low vibes song, but the lyrics are very dark and make you hear the silent cries for help from an addict.

The most disturbing song I've ever listened to is called Frankie Teardrop by Suicide. If you think you can stomach it, give it a listen. But the song put legitimate fear in me for a couple days. It's the kind of thing you will only listen to once, but never forget.

Hey Matty! I Like your Channel Idea to talk about Myths about Music and all Stuff that came with that. But i had prefered that you talk about "Stallagh". I know its not a dark Text based but the whole Project is absolutely crazy. Nice Vid Keep Going and stay fresh my dude! Greetings from Germany. P:S Sorry for my bad English xD

Cage-Ballad Of Worms and Therapy-Dianne should def be considered for a future video, both are pretty dark and disturbing.

Props for including bedwetter. That album is devastating and super relatable for anyone who has serious mental health issues. Its hard to listen to but amazing at the same time, love lil ugly mane so much

Tbh Slipknot's self titled album and IOWA could take up this whole entire list because how fucked up each member's mental heath was back then

Last one sounds like a metaphor for his mental health struggle. Sometimes your inner child is held hostage by your adult self, not seeing the wonder, whimsy in anything.

Promise by Cold As Life. For those that don’t know who Cold As Life is they are an American hardcore band from Detroit and have a long history of members being sent to jail or being murdered as the result of gang violence or drugs. Their original singer Rodney "Rawn Beauty" Barger was shot in his sleep at the age of 23 by Richard Wernstine. The song “Promise” talks about how the band will take revenge and brutally murder Wernstine with lyrics such as Bringing your Hell, brought it down around yourself Revenge now mine, not a question of if, it's just time Will feel no remorse, holding bullets and pain for you, they're yours and; But maybe you should live and feel the pain that you gave The pain that I'll give. I generally recommend giving the album Born To Land Hard and Cold As Life a listen one of my favorite bands to this day and the hardest band to come out of hardcore.

You NEED to cover "Dallas Beltway" by Chat Pile if you do another one of these. Almost impossible to listen to as you realize what is going on throughout the song. Its about a dude who killed his son and is driving circles around the Dallas highway system with the son in the trunk, as he realizes that once he pulls over he will have to come to terms with what he did.

I have to laugh and disagree at a fans comment at 5:13. I'm sorry but to me this song just doesn't come across as a 'depressing' It sounds like background elevator music. Rocking a pink cover, musically and visually this is anything but dark.

Might not be as dark as these ones, but "Suicidal Thoughts" and "Me and My Bitch" by Biggie and "Once an Addict" by J. Cole always makes me feel sad when i hear them. Masterpieces.
