I remember being weirded out big time when I woke up in the middle of the night (I used to leave my tv on VH1 as a teen) and I believe in a thing called love was on, opened my eyes and glanced at the tv while half asleep, was like "Dafuq is this shit?!" and went back to sleep. After school the next day I was telling my younger brother I had a strange dream in the middle of the night, and next thing I know this is one of his favorite bands. Just, weird, weird, weird stuff lol.

Similar thing happened to me; came in one night utterly plastered, didn't even remember switching the tv on, but then all of a sudden i was watching some guy in a suit trudging through a marsh surrounded by upside down and burnt out cars and vans and shacks made out of refuse talking about the psychological impact on people a feeling of "place" can have on people, it was so utterly surreal but such a striking moment. It's how I found out about Jonathan Meades. Serendipity at its finest.

I always love Ed's drum solo. Greatest band! Just discovered them months ago. I tell all my friends and give them cd's. Love it, thank you for the upload! What an awesome concert! Too good. Coming from California, looking forward to 4th album and hopefully seeing them live!

When I first heard of this band several years ago, I really thought they were going to break out big time. I do believe they have a pretty big cult following, but nowhere near what I expected or hoped for them. I guess these days, you have to be on American Idol to get any real attention in the States..

+rodentcafeteria American IdoI is to make sure the big companies don't waste money promoting people. They get the luxury of weeding out the people that won't make it (won't make them money immediately) without losing a dime. One of the best schemes I have ever seen.

+rodentcafeteria No, you have to tour your ass off. AC/DC's brutal tour of the States in 1977 opened the door for them. I ain't saying the following because I am an American--you GOTTA make it here to be huge. 35% of the hard rock albums are sold here. I was lucky to stumble onto this superb band. My American rocker friends say, Who? They need badly to grind it out here. I'm hooked, but look at their declining album sales. This band isn't going to even exist if they don't turn it around and that would make me sick.

+rodentcafeteria they coulda been, but drugs got in the way. justin'd been touring since he was like 14, so when he finally broke out, he sort of broke down. it's a shame, cos it seems you can never regain the zeitgeist, but a solid cult following can turn into a cultural pillar, like motorhead.
